Update on Operation PC Transport:

So, spoke to Alex again today. I have good news and bad news:

Good news: We *might* get the transport of the pc's back to CPT for FREE! That's right ... free, niks, nada. Seems his MD offered to do it at RAM company cost. I am just waiting for Alex to get it in writing.

Bad news: There is no option for insurance. EVEN if we did pay for the transport, there would still be no insurance options.

Mikey and Jono? I need to know ASAP if you are comfy with that or not.

My 2c, if that is the only option, take out anything breakable / moveable in your case (GFX card, after-market cooler) and make the case as barebones as possible, fill it with bubble wrap, cover it in bubble wrap. That should make it bomb proof.

Just saying... :)

Good idea, just take out your Graphics card and harddrive. If you buble wrap it you can easily take it with you even if you are flying.

I am happy to ship without insurance if we do the bubble wrap thing.

Good idea, Phats.

Also, I forgot to mention - we'll be responsible for dropping off the pc's in Isando (I live right near there and have off on Monday so that shouldn't be an issue.)

Mikey and Jono will need to collect the pc's from RAM's depot in Cape Town - still need to find out where that is exactly.

Cnr Milan & Montreal Drive (Klipfontein?), Airport Industria

That's an awfully long way outside the Cape Town CBD. In fact, it seems a lot closer to JHB :p
