--EDIT--
So my asessment of our NSD game is that it was a good learning experience, but I don't see any value in being taught that lesson again tomorrow. They were very high intensity, catching lots of us off-guard with their speed and aggression. However, they also played extremely tactically, constantly trying to anticipate our next move and box us out whenever the opportunity presented itself. Slow peeking to find them and stepping into unknown lanes of fire was bad news for us.
You should hardly see the target you're shooting because its a predetermined and task slim effort at supernatural speed whether you see him or not. Spraying rounds just puts you at risk, but we need to set traps and make choices to fire anyway. That's where the difference comes (JZ voice). Knowing the strats, the positions of each and every friendly or possible enemy really makes that possible. Its crucial we learn new skills for use in our gameplay AND the strats to the finest detail.
They were much quicker in terms of getting to strong points and setting up tactically. That's to be expected with a new team but we should really take a leaf out of their book. There is no indecision or time to decide who is going where. It's planned and executed like a ballet in phases, with ad hoc adjustments the crowd dont even notice. Our strats are fine, we just need to go a phase or two deeper and play creatively within that framework or we are just individuals at the same time/space.
That all said I was proud of the way the guys kept fighting and the way some guys really adapted to play their roles. We all know whats wrong and how to fix it, but we don't "want" to go through the effort. We need stop looking for more problems, propose the solutions to Tyger and start getting some results here. Results that come from strats, drills, skills and creativity - costing real life effort from everyone. Otherwise I don't think Premier level gameplay is going to fly.
We need a guy who isnt afraid of playing with the Pechy in the infantry squad and I think if Miles takes up that mantle it might give some more cohesion and staying power to the infantry. That thing is just devastating for holding lanes on small maps plus you get nades/ammo and a guinea pig for rushes. Our armour is okayish, a lot of the time the APC got killed was because I forced making a play in their back yard. Something I think we all did in our own ways.
Lastly you bananas better read these forums and start being constructive because the nonchalantness and vibes were crappy. I know its start of the season and all but we can't keep half arseing, every one of us needs to turn on and contribute on time. How can we play well if we are guys that wont on principle take the time to do anything other than show up cold at 7:45, dick about till 10 then moan about how we played or didn't play and do it the same effort the next session?
