I started a new character grrrPaul. Thought it would make it easier for organisation purposes. It does mean it is a total noob character and can be molded into what ever is needed.

I was planning on going Heavy Infantry as it seems to be the best all round character

Rewarding people for the boring bits is nice (standing on uncontested points while teammates vacuum up guys crawling out from spawns).

Reduces points from camping spawns.

That's already a nice addition.

Patch is out - 4GB worth. There have been a few extra tweaks as well, hopefully they work out.

Patch is a nightmare... so many bugs.

Side note, new ati 13.2 beta drivers supposedly fix the flickering texture issue (and beleive nvidia has beta drivers as well for this).
