Ya I can't say I agree. Sure taking a break after a leg is to be expected, but 3 weeks? I dont know who was actually there for ASF last night but we have a lot of work to do or we're just going to finish bottom of rAge. A flurry of friendlies won't take us up a gear, it's just warmup for what will be a very tough compo. How many other 1st Div teams do you think are taking a 3 week break?

We still need to pick and prac our 2 other maps. Bazaar, Karakand, Sharqi or Tehran. Thats at least four friendlies right there and we shouldn't fit those map pracs in right before rAge. I'll make a poll post for that discussion tonight, we need clarity on our map choices as soon as possible so we can all focus on our team and individual performances.

Don't get me wrong, I hear you all about burnout and gettin time to do a few things. I am also pretty tired and frustrated so a week off sounds good to me too. But. There is a growing sense of complacency in the team and a resignation to just play whatever and get it done. That's all well and good, we achieved our goals but who feels proud about just lying down and dying?

Our team has an attitude problem and it limits our potential, say what you like about me, its still true. We only try when we absolutely have to otherwise auto pilot and some blame gaming is just fine. I want to improve further and make a good showing at my first rAge. A half arsed effort will only fool ourselves and lead to heavy losses which doesn't make the rAge party very good at all.

Whatever it's just my view on it and I can't force people to see it my way. We must honour the BOC friendship so at least 5 of the Baggers making prac with them is really not negotiable in my books.

Look I hear you Hubris, but I just cant right now.

I am sure it hasn't escaped anyone's notice that I have been a "tad" stressed out lately.
For that I would really like to apologise, its really not fair to you guys.

If I keep going I wont be any use the team anyway.
So my previous statement stands, I will be available and committed from the week of the 18th again.

Hubris is right, we need to practise still but I don't think can continue at the level we were or we will move backwards.

So lets keep the Wednesday practise going with BoC guys and the friendlies we play before rAge definitely have to be against stiff opposition e.g.

SSG
BvD
A2K
RFH (1st team)
ASF (either team)

Ok I'm glad you guys see where I'm coming from. We've come so far as a team, from a bunch of guys who didnt know if competitive play was what they wanted to a team going to rAge. Lets give back to each other by finishing proud and having a cracking rAge at the expense of other teams. I propose the following:

No activity for a week from last night.
On the 5th of Sept, we reconvene whoever we can to play a BOC prac.
On the 12th and 16th we do BOC (no Tues prac) and A2K or whoever.
From the 18th we do prac on Tues and a game on Wed and Sun (2 weeks for maps).
Then from the 1st we prep for rAge with 3 games Mon, Tues, Wed.

In summary: Two BOC pracs, 8 prac matches (4 for new maps) and 2 regular practices for map planning and skills.

That means those guys who want to take extra time to sort whatever out can do so, but it's important they say so now so we're not planning to do all this stuff with only 2 or 3 guys actually available. I hope that's a fair compromise. So far I know of 3 who may be out for more than a week which we can handle.

Tyger (back on 18th)
SlipperyDuck (back - +/- 12th)
Phatso (?)

Thanks guys we can do this! If need be we can even drop a game just before rAge and still have 7 in the bag including our new map pracs.

I'll try make myself available - I'm there for the team - don't discount the duck

I'ts not every day - so it should completely take away my time to finish the Rage2011 video.

I've only been wrong once, and that's when I thought I was wrong.

How does this sound? It leaves SiB and Divine out of the mix, but I'm confident we can take those guys on a good night even without this training regime against top teams.

Tyger if you're ok to book these now it would be awesome.

TE
BvD
Gs - ex NSD (possibly drop 8th game)
RFH
SSG
ASF
A2K
BFC

Game days in Sept: 16, 19, 23, 26, 31.
Pre-Rage: 1-4 October. Any 3 days, maybe drop to two games.
