On the Battlefield 3 front, the 2012 legs will be of a similar format, except teams will be larger, consisting of eight man squads with three reserves. EA South Africa Product Manager Ralph Spinks spoke about how the distributor was excited for the upcoming contest.

“Battlefield 2 was first launched in 2005 and was a regular fixture in the Do Gaming Leagues”, Spinks said. “With Battlefield 3 launching six years later, we’re excited to see gamers have the chance to compete online at the highest level with Do Gaming”.

Rynier Schoeman, Gaming Inc events coordinator, says that they will also be supporting Battlefield 3, hoping to turn it into one of the largest online leagues next year. “Battlefield 3 is one of the most anticipated competitive gaming titles in the last few years and Gaming Inc will be actively supporting the game through the year in a bid to see it become the
largest competitive gaming title in South Africa,” Schoeman said.

Registration for COD and BF3 opens next year, so get ready for some fierce competition backed up by some truly fantastic prizes next year, thanks to EA South Africa, Megarom Interactive and Do Gaming.

Both teams look grrr-good and with lots of experience and skill. :D

As most of you know this time of the year is a very busy time at work for me. I just finished 2 weeks of working 8am - 8pm and now I have a wee brake until the December 9th. ( Meaning normal hours 9 - 5)

Then all hell's bell's at work. Working 8am till 10pm until x-mass day and the nonstop till about the second week in 2012.

I will be available for practice and games, but it will be tight.

Sorry i wont be online as much as i would like to, but work pays the bills. :ras:

But it is all with a plan. I would like to make loads of commission in December so i can buy a ( Intel Core i7 2600 Upgrade Kit ASUS P8P67 Pro B3 Motherboard Intel Core i7 2600 CPU 16GB DDR3 RAM and a few extras) Cash.

So i will seeeeez you girls/guys on the servers for some of this :gun:

Guys, be as diplomatic as you like, but we all know the truth: the First Team is whichever team I'm in.

I know this is late but I have been at the coast for a week.

Tyger both you and Mega are in the second team (if you can call it that) because of availability. As I said though, these are the draft teams after a few pracs between the two we can see if these are right or if reshuffling is needed

8v8 is incredibly tough for selection so be patient guys. Hopefully we can do another internal game soon in the new year and test out air maps and other infantry maps (Caspian Border and Operation Metro come to mind).

I'm spectating all three maps for our first internal match and have senior players rotating for maps just to get a feel for everyone. I suggest Skoups and his merry men do something similar if possible so we can start getting discussion going on reshuffling.
