Yeah me too, unfortunately I could not get the 10Gb ethernet cards into the budget, so I had to settle for just an Intel i340-T4. In order to drown my sorrows and balance things out a bit, I was allowed to get 3 more of the Intel I350T2 cards thus achieving my objective of 10Gbs network connectivity.
Then again, Tyger has been accusing me of being over obsessive with CPU specs... this baby has more than 20 CPU cores, which is reasonable, but when you enable HT that number inceases in excess of 40... if you had to run each core full throttle, the total amount of GHz achieved is in excess of 171GHz... obsessive, my arse!
But yeah Lee, I agree... such a low spec machine... I can't wait for the day I can convince somebody to give me a real budget to build them a real power machine.

Ok, finally got her up and running, finished my excel program and finally got the results. The excel spreadsheet is based on a very simple mathematical problem which I could not solve using traditional google methods. The mathematical problem boils down to how the odds for winning a hand in poker changes based on the number of players around the table. I've have simulated a 100 billion poker hands, played on a table 2 to 12 players and finally have the results.

Using all the processing power at my disposal on the above mystery build, the program managed to calculate the 100,000,000,000 poker hands in less than 40 minutes.
