BF3 and us

Post by Phatso »

Ahoy grrrbians! Needed to make this thread after some observations. Please note, this may be a bit early to post this, but I'd like to get the ball rollin :notworthy:

Battlelog parties work well enough, we just need to understand that there is a limit of 8 players. If you aren't jamming, rather leave the BLog party for someone that is. This way, we all stay in the same VOIP channel. I prefer BLog to TS, but that may just be me. Wanting inputs here.

We need to get more achtung going as a team. I understand its weekend 1, but I am loving squadding up with grrrbians in this game, it just feels like BF2 again and every time I squad up with someone else, I feel I am missing out. Even if you are not in the same squad, work on running around together and discuss observations/tips/tactics. Some guys have put in some serious time and would definitely be able to offer some insights. If you're unsure about anything, ask :)

Then there is the competitive discussion that needs to take place. We need to play together as much as possible. The party join option in BLog works like a charm and makes life a lot easier. But it doesn't help if its not used.

I don't want to sound like a tit here and apologies if I did. I just know this game is going to be amazing and that we can really get our boots polished for the comp scene. It may be early, but lets use the time to iron out any creases we may have :)

SEE YOU ON THE BATTLEFIELD!! :snipe:

Definitely TS.

Friday I managed to join a party and voip for the early evening, but later Battlelog was broken for me and I couldn't join voice. Right now I'm about to go into BF3 and see 6 Grrrians playing but their party is full with 8 players.

So can we please make up our mind quickly because I had a lot of fun playing yesterday with (albeit battlelog) voip where I could talk to my Grrr squad mates.

I vote TS3. There is no advantage of using Battlelog voice over TS.

I vote TS too. The main reason being only 8 ppl can join the BL party.

I agree, I had the same problem as Murgs (twice) I could join a party but the voice channel was disabled.

Yes, TS. Good thread Phats. I also noticed that we were not squadding up and talking to each other enough over the weekend. Myself included.

I think this is directly related to the VoIP issue. If we are on TS then this will work.

I squaded with Lee, NoMaD and Hurbis, we PWN just because we stuck together and spoke.

The only issue with TS, is that we have too many people in one channel and it becomes chaotic, especially when we're split over two teams.

Ideally, we should run two channels like we did before. If lee could (pleeeeeease) repost those config shortcuts that enabled jumping between channels in-game then we could definitely make that work. In fact, with competitive BF3 on the way, we'll definitely need two channels for practices.

Yes! TS would be the better choice seeing as there are limitations with respect to Battlelog only 8 players. I would also suggest that if there are more than 8 players in a Party we create a new party for other ppl to join. No need to feel lonely cause we will all be in TS! but at least this way we could swap between the parties if we on opposite sides!

As phats was saying we gotz to start with the speaking early on so our communication is on target! I think the Lotro players could add a lot to this as communication was Key hey s3xy? :p
