That's an international release date, not sue if you'll be able to get it at a local retailler on Monday. Unfortunately most new releases take an additional week or two to arrive here, with the exception of the huge franchises like COD etc.). You may be lucky though.
Of course us Steamies will be able to play from release day...
Actually, we'll have to wait about 5hrs for the download... + 3hrs to drive over to your place to make a copy and do some quality reassurance testing on your beer fridge... coff coff... BTGames have release listed as 23rd October...
Pre-load should happen on Steam - likely starting anywhere from today onwards....they normally pre-load the game so that it's ready to go and you don't download it on the release date. . .

I've only been wrong once, and that's when I thought I was wrong.

In that case, I guess that one of you who are in Cape Town with access to their Steam loaded PC's will have to start downloading...
I recommend Daz...
Having said all that, I'm not sure if it will be preloaded on Steam. Most games aren't, only Valve games are guaranteed a preload.
I've not had major download issues with new games before now, I'm sure that if I kick the download off on Monday, it'll be done when I get back from work.
Let us know how big the download is, Lee. BTW, don't use the Steam Bandwidth monitor to check this, it lies.
Hmmm, now who's gonna do the download in Cape Town? I don't have enough cap left to get it, and I'm loathe to spend R70/GB to download it on top up. Would kinda kill the cost advantages of buying the multi-pack.
