XXXL - It just got bigger!!

Okay, with the warm-up of Fly's 40th out of the way, it's time to start planning for the BIG party of the year.

As some of you know, 2011 is a big year for 40th birthdays. And the next three all occur within 3 days of each other. Voetsek and Onny are turning 40 at the end of May,, and I'm 40 at the beginning of June.

Anyway, we figured that it would be excellent to get as many of our online family as possible together to celebrate in style!!

And, as those of us who live in Cape Town make the big pilgrimage to Jozi every October for rAge, we thought it only fair that we ask you lucky Jozi members to join us in Cape Town for the event.

At this stage, we are looking to schedule for either the 28th/29th of May, or the 4th/5th of June for the get together, depending on availability of attendees.

We don't really have a schedule of events as yet, but thoughts are to have some kind of day activity during the day on the Saturday (maybe some paintball or similar), and then a rollicking party on the Satruday night. Sunday can be used for a recovery before those of us who aren't locals make their way back to the airport.

Of course we know that a weekend trip to Cape Town is not the cheapest thing to do, and as such I'd ask that Capetonians help our with accomodation for our out of town brethren. Also, if flights are booked now, it should be possible to get some really cheap fares between Jozi and Cape Town (and Durbs too, Mr Duck).

So, let's discuss. Which of the sugggested weekends would suit best, and who can ew count on to make the trip down to help us celebrate? And from the Capetonians, who's prepared to offer up accomodation? In some pre-discusion, it looks like Sheri and Dirk and Mark and Onny will be staying with myself and Dazzie.

Let's get some planning happening now, I'd really like to make this thing a reality!!

I think that is an EPIC idea! I can offer some accommodation at my mom's place as she has a free granny flat available which has a double bed. It's down the road from my place so lifting shouldn't be an issue either! I can join in the celebration as I'll be hitting 31 in June so would be cool to double ney treble or dare I say quadrupole the party!
