It's not the new league, it's a once off competition to round off the 2010 league - complete with prizes...
Having said that, we should make every effort to get involved. The comp starts on the 18th Jan, not sure how long it will run for.

EDIT: I've updated our DoGaming team roster, putting Sheri, Dirk and Phatso as reserves for now. We need to get NoMaD and Hubris registered with the clan on the doGaming site (Go to http://www.dogamingleague.co.za/ to register guys, so that we can add you to the clan roster).
With Shadey offline for a while, I think we'll need a vice captain to stand in her stead for a while. I'd volunteer for the job myself, but I'll probably be travelling a fair amount in the new year and may not have too much time to administer things. Any other volunteers?

Battlefield Bad Company 2 Rules (experimental/BETA Ruleset)
1. Match Progression (Round-Robin)
Do Gaming will provide you with the name of your opponent and the map which is to be played. You must contact your opponent and make a match booking (see: Match Bookings). You will play each side of the map once (the team which booked the server decides which side to play first). Tickets are NOT counted - the only possible score outcomes are 2-0, 1-1, 0-2.
Once your players have arrived on the server, you should consult with your opponents as to whether they are ready to start. At half-time, players must switch to the appropriate team, and the match begins again (according to the process below).
A team wins the round when their opponent's ticket count is depleted to zero. A team wins the match if they win both rounds.
2. Starting the Match
It is recommended that players take screenshots of their opposition's team line-up. No line-up disputes will be accepted without accompanying evidence.
* Team leaders use global chat to make sure their opponents are ready.
* Once both team leaders have said "ready", the server admin can restart the match.
* The game begins immediately once the server restarts and map loading begins.
At half-time, this process must be repeated. Additionally, players from each team should take a screenshot of the half-time and full-time screen (where it says "you lose"/"you won").
3. Player Disconnects
If a player disconnects from the server after the game has begun, the player must attempt to rejoin whilst the match continues. In the event that the player is unable to rejoin, a reserve must be called in to play. Only reserves/substitutes registered on your team lineup are allowed to join the game. If a registered reserve cannot be contacted and your original player is unable to rejoin, the game must continue with as many players as you have available.
In the event of a server crash, players must reconnect within 10 minutes of the server restarting. The round that was underway must be replayed.
4. Divisions/Seedings
As for COD4, however no end-of-leg-3 playoffs will be held for Bad Company 2.

I am registered on the DoGaming league, but my clan is torment. Doesn't look like there's an option to leave torment. I tried to join grrr, but there is a password protecting the clan join. Any ideas? I tried groan. NoMaD is registered on DoGaming, but the same deal will apply to him.
NoMaD, tell Rob to get his act together and allow for a leave clan option! :P I sent the DoGaming administrator an email asking to de-register me from torment and remove the clan since they is kaputlet. Will let you know what happens there, maybe you will need to do the same.
I think it's pretty important that the reserves are available, i.e. at their PC's, during the clannies. That way if someone disco's and can't rejoin, a sub will make it in quickly. I assume the game mode is conquest?

Try grrr04n as a password, as far as I know you should be able to belong to more than one clan at a time, at least until you are de-registered from the other clan

Hubris, i have included you under the Danglers, so you should see yourself as part of the team and a player.
