As most of you probably know, things got really busy toward the end of the last season for me. I had less time to play and needed more time for real life things (family/work etc). I still managed to squeeze in a fair amount of BC2 time. I played and practiced as much as time allowed and had some cool clan-matches. I played on pub-servers and enjoyed the game a bit. (baring in mind all my hardware and ADSL issues...)
But, from my point of view, the game just doesn't hold me close enough to it to commit properly. I find myself playing for 15-30 minute sessions (with varying success) before stopping. It is of course a lot of fun playing with clanmates, but I like doing my own thing at times (and as time allows).
It is sad, because I waited a long time for the next big shooter. Although BC2 seemed to be the answer and hold that title.. it didn't do it for long enough with me. I just don't enjoy the game enough to give it my all. And thats how I play competitively, either I give it my all, or I would just be an annoying team-mate, that couldn't adapt and rock'n roll... which I don't want at all.
This all being said, I will be semi-retiring to a more casual player style. I will play the odd game here and there and if needed will always be more than happy to help.
I am sorry if this a let-down and I want you all to remember that I didn't join this fine gaming institution that is [grrr] just to play in a league
