ok now this is a tricky post to post.....
i like wearing the grrr tag's, but are starting to feel a bit guilty because i don't actually practice or play any league matches. So i only wear the tags to say i am part of grrr (i still feel its the coolest clan). The reason i don;t commit to any practices or league games is purely because the type of job i do i can be busy playing one minute and working the next .
now the question...should i resign out of grrr or are there place for loafers like me trying to keep the grrr name high in the online circles.......
to GRRR or not to GRRR
Re: to GRRR or not to GRRR
Tricky post calls for a tricky response...
You're wearing the clan tags 'cause you feel it's the coolest clan, yet you don't contribute to the clan in any way? We hardly ever see you on the forum, and as you say, you're not playing in any practices or clannies.
In my opinion, that means that you're not actually grrr, you are just wearing our tags. I personally make a big effort to get to know all of our members, either through RL social events where possible, or just through the forum and playing together. You've been in the clan for how long now? Yet I barely know you. You've not popped across to visit at rAge in the last couple of years, or hung out on the shoutbox chatting, or even posted your views on many topics on the forum. That tells me something.
Anyway, my personal opinion is that if you don't want to make an effort to contribute, you should leave. We all work in strange jobs, we all have to work at weird times, or travel to exotic locales. But those of us who are active still make a commitment, because we want to be part of grrr.
Anyway, that's just my view. I'm sure that others will also have an opinion.

Re: to GRRR or not to GRRR
Rob, met you once, briefly about 2 years ago. You seem like a lekker oke but although I see you occasionally on the servers you haven't really got going on the forum or interacted with us. If you are keen to be more active then I'd be all for you staying, but if you intend wearing the tags just for image then you aren't really in the clan are you?

Re: to GRRR or not to GRRR
eish Rob, tough decision, tough response. i for one have always had a more "family" aproach to grrr, but that also implies a whole lot more. I do consider you family, and it would be sad to see you go, if you chose. but it would be great if you could be more active.

QFT
Since some events happened earlier today I have really been thinking about certain events that had occurred today.
Funny that Fly should mention the "Family" aspect of grrr as I realized earlier today that it had been the particular part of this clan that I had appreciated the most.
Maybe its just part and parcel of me being absent that I have not been seeing it recently....

The right thing would be you quitting your job, sending your wife off to work and spending time with your clan mates!
