I think I've now got the basics down, but getting bored playing in a lonely world

Well yes... as Gamers we have to support the Devs (not EA) .. If anyone asks, we never pirate... we are perfect citizens!!

I am willing to host a legit server 24/7 or on certain days for grrr only members. I can also look into a daily backup solution. I am also still actively playing another world with some non grrr friends for the past 4 years. I suggest we play a vanilla survival mode.

If anyone is interested, please let me know. I think if we have at least 3 guys playing it could be fun.

Ok, balls in my court

EDIT: Server is up. Installing ubuntu. Will post the details when everything is up and running as I still need to setup the server and have a backup for the map files.

For now, server will be vanilla minecraft 1.8.3, survival, large biomes, default difficulty and pvp on.

I have some temporary rules and would like to open the discussion if anyone wants to add anything.

Here are the rules:

1. Don't break anything that isnt yours.
2. Don't steal.
3. Dont kill. (unless pvp)

Some tips for newbs :-)

1. Never dig straight down.
2. Never dig straight up. (gravel is a bitch)
3. Always carry a bucket of water when exploring.
4. Always carry food.
5. It's minecraft, have fun.

Yea... that doesn't seem to be a problem to a newbie when you first start out, until your first cave dive... or first lava splash :P
