DAT WEEKEND

Post by Phatso »

What an absolutely incredible weekend guys and girls. rAge weekend is always the highlight of the year in the gaming calendars and this year in my opinion was the best one I have ever attended.

The focus on having a loltastic time was had by all and the amount of laughter was only met with the amount of alcohol consumed.
On further thought, well done to all who put their bodies through its paces this weekend. I haven’t had this rough a weekend in years and today I am feeling it. I foresee this hangover lasting late into the week.

I wanted to just say thank you to each and every one of the people that had anything to do with the planning, preparation and enjoyment of this weekend. I had such a good time I often had “OMGZZZZZZ MIND BLOWN” moments where I simply couldn’t believe how good a time I was having ;)

Although the BF3 competition did not go as well as we had hoped, I know we can all agree that it was still epic. Playing at that level is something else entirely and we can hold our heads up high, although the results say otherwise.
We further established ourselves as being “the good okes” in the community and it was evident by the conversations had the other BF3 teams. Excellent representation, good team spirit and punctuality all added up and we have put our names into the legend lists of rAge once again!

Special mention must go the people that organized the accommodation, the jackets, the funds, the booze, the food, the snacks, the booze (again)… You all know who you are. Well done.
Also to the peeps that couldn’t make it. You were with us in spirit and in every toast. Next year, I am expecting an even bigger turn out. Lets make it bigger and better!!

Lets enjoy the Battlefield off season and try to get through the post rAge blues with some fun coop games, some trolling and generally just playing games with the people we love. We are a part of a very special family guys, and every rAge weekend I feel it more and more. This is a big part of my life that I am happy to have. XOXO.

Phats, I can only echo your sentiments... this RAGE was one of the better ones I've ever attended... despite Fly and Ass not being able to finish that last game Risk sunday morning at 03:00...

With regard to a system shock... I am at the office now but have already consumed my 2nd PLAY and it' aint' even 11:00 yet. (granted, had to wake up at 04:00 to finish a delivery that was due... but as phats would say, zero fucks was given to that paper!)

Any event guys and goils, thanks for all the planing and organisation, this was one hell of a weekend... oh, and to the awesome braaiers who ate all the good pieces before giving it to anybody else.... ;-)

The 6th rAge that I've been to, and the best so far. So much of memorable times, starting with early afternoon G&T's on Thursday, and ending on Sunday morning listening to the footage of j0nny woooping repetitively after the duck face smashed that tree, . And too many brilliant moments in between for me to even begin listing.

Two days later, and my head still feels soft, and my body complaining when I move. That's about the only good thing about it being only once a year!!

To all of you fantastic guys and girls, that's for making it the most memorable rAge weekend yet. I dunno how we'll be able to top that next year, but I've no doubt that we will (we always do, somehow).

And to the team - well done guys. I know that you lost all three games, but you still put in some good performances - the competition was extremely tough. I'm proud of you guys.

I know I still need to sort out the bar bills, I'll get around to it this week and post details for everyone.

Thanks again guys.

Some stats for the weekend:

Days of rAge: Four
GRRR Clan attendees: Sixteen
Rands spent on Booze: Three Thousand
Fucks given: Zero

This was by far the best rage yet!

Had some good fun all round. From my side also, thanks to everyone who pulled through!

Did some reviewing Sat night just to make sure, and yes the footage of the epic tree is there ;) Cant wait to see the DVD for next year :D

Thanks gents for a really muchly pleasurable and entertaining weekend. It was great seeing the old and well-loved faces again as well as meeting the new ones and without you all the weekend would not have been as awesome as what it was.

Thanks, Tyger, for organising the really yummy meat and drinks.

Thanks to our team who never fail to make me proud when it comes to how you conduct yourselves when things get serious as well as having fun. To me you stand out heads and shoulders above the rest - I am proud to be a grrr member :D
