Okay, so BL2 is now out, and it rocks in co-op!! A few things that I've picked up:
1. If you pre-ordered the game, you should have been given a golden key. This key is used to open the golden chest in Sanctuary. Each key can only be used once, and will grant you some elite gear, at the level at which you are when you open the chest. Obviously good to hoard these keys a bit, but you probably don't want to hold on to the key all game...
If you don't get a note saying that you're received a golden key, try verifying your cache files on Steam. I did thins, and it redownloaded one file, and the next time I loaded the game I got my free key.
You can get a second golden key if you register for Shift in the 'Extras' menu. Worth doing
2. VoIP - We use Mumble for chat, so be sure to switch your ingame voip to 'Push to talk - on', and the key bound to a different key to what you use for mumble. If you have PTT off, you'll transmit all of the time.
3. You can spend your Badass points to unlock permanent character improvements. Go into the inventory, and click the icon opn the top right that looks like a medal. Here you can view achievements and spend Badass points.
