By now most people who were going to get Armoured Kill have downloaded and played it a bit. We play some more last night and although there is still a lot more to discover people are starting to get the basic understanding. What was said last night though was that "we play for shits and giggles" and that peoples "KDR's" are taking a dive.
Now IMO this is 100% cool, we play games because it is fun and it shouldn't be work, however, what if you want a good KDR in AK or you want to take it seriously?
Because this is totally different to most forms of Battlefield we need a few hints and tips, so that is exactly what this thread is for, IMPROVE YOUR AK EXPERIENCE. I am not claiming to be a pro but using my previous armour whore experience and my time on AK here is some advice
* Use vehicles! This might seem obvious but unless you are setting up an ambush at a flag do not go on foot! You will die
* When you are in a vehicle never stop moving, if stop moving you become perfect targets for the Gunship and Arty especially.
* Know your vehicle! Tanks are tanks but tank destroyers are weak but pack a punch, you need to engage takes from far and be moving so they can't hit you.
* Jet! Even thought the Ceiling is still about 1000ft, it feels higher, best mode of attack it climb high, swoop down and kill then climb high again. On most maps air vehicles have to deal with jets, heli's, gunship, AA. If you are high then some of these are taken out of play then you mostly only have to deal with Jets.
* Mines and C4 are making a big come back so watch out!!
* Team work, we didn't really play "nicely" together but if you do then you will own! Murgs, WW and I teamed up the first night, even without any unlocks we dominated
Anyone else got some pointers?
Armour Kill
Fully support this view. KDs take a dive on AK because people approach is like you would an infantry map. This is confirmed if you look at the way most guys treat, for example, Caspian Border by going infantry between B/C/D. Get in a tank, roll with a spanner, get creative and ensure you hit and run. If your vehicle burns or you miss a vehicle spawn, try get a fast mover (buggy/quad) to put you on a back flag where you can have the biggest impact as a troop. Coordinate your squad, one guy in AA , a chopper team and a jet make a mean team andthey play together and call out mutual targets. Finally remember that in Tabk Domination mode there is only one flag and there is no field spawning -- ie you only spawn at base, not on flags or squad.

So I am sure a lot of you have tried that Mobile RT truck and at first thought, WTF, this thing is useless. That was my first impression.
But because I need the achievement I put in some time and this is why I figured out.
* Hang back - The RT usually spawns at one of you back flags, keep it there, it can reach at least 2/3rd of the map so unless you want to pound thier back flag there is no need to move. This also helps in that you can set points where to aim to hit specific area without having to recompensate continually
* Once you are in the gunner seat bring up you big map (my key is M), zoom out as much as possible (my key is N).
* Fire 1 shot and wait for it to land, this will be highlighted on your map by a "ping" of circles, now you can adjust to where you want it to go
* Hitting moving targets is almost impossible so your best bet is to pound flags. Vehicles generally are highlighted on the map so you can see where they are going or you can see a flag that is flashing.
* So you simple launch all your rockets onto the flag, you generally get a kill or atleast a disabled vehicle.
* lastly, you need to have proximity on, before I unlocked this I was C4'd multiple times.
