I know I personally wouldn't see this as a reason not to compete. Hell, the baggers are not expecting to beat FiB and sG eta al, but the point of playing is to have fun and enjoy competing in the league.

Pity the nuts can't find the time to compete properly. I'm sure many/all of them actually do want to compete, but life and other things get in the way.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that this is the primary reason for the team folding, but rather that it would be a contributing factor.

Consider that we played a few intra-clan matches in early December, where the turnout for both teams was very good. As I recall, the Nutz suffered pretty hefty defeats in all games. Following on from that, the best players from the Nutz were promoted to join the baggers. I could certainly see how morale could be a little low.

There's a difference between not expecting to beat the best of the best, and feeling that your team can compete effectively at all.

Most of my rationalisation as to the fall of the Nutz comes from the other points listed, but all of those would contribute to the lack of morale within the team, and therefore a drop in commitment levels.

We deliberately set out to have one team that would be able to compete at the nighest level in the league. i certainly hope that the baggers with give FiB/BvD/ASF etc. a damn good run for their money. If not, we'd have been better off randomly assigning players to two teams. That way, we'd probably see more commitment from both.

No pressure on the Baggers... but if they don't win, they are not only letting themselves down individually, but also the rest of the Baggers team, the rest of the clan, the Gaming Community as a whole, but more importantly, their fellow brethren the Nutz... so stop whinning Murgs and start winning FiB and kie…

Now how’s that for some motivation…

Jarrod you may be right about morale affecting some, it would never stop me from competing though.

Tyger the Nutz team suffered 2 x technical dropouts and 1 x personal dropout. Adding to that we have myself who is hardly ever in the right country and the squad is already at the bare minimum. From the remaining players we have 6 who managed to sign up for a prac where only 3 showed up. I have worked with teams where the enthusiasm isn't there and I sympathise with Skoups. I'd also feel reluctant to lead a group who can't inject their own enthusiasm into playing together.

Exactly , I would rather retire the team without any disgrace than try get something organised and at the end of the day you just have a bunch of frustrated and annoyed people.

Also bear in mind this does not stop us from organising friendlies where anyone can play.

I will take this an order to teamkill Paul in every clan match I play... as I think thats the gist of what you asked of me.
