DGL Match 1 -- Grand Bazaar (=BUD BBX)

Re: DGL Match 1 -- Grand Bazaar (=BUD BBX)
I agree mines of the start are a no no but really, if we're holding two flags there's no reason we shouldn't plant them. I think it's foolish not to plant them, especially on the back road and on the outside flags themselves. Its the only sure fire way to instagib their tank.
As for the extra spanner, we have to include him to ensure we dont lose our tank in the opening engagement. I don't know about you but with no mines and only one spanner we are putting ourselves at a serious disadvantage. The longer our tank is up, the easier the infantry fightin is.
I'm really not keen on a frantic fight culture. If someone is delayed because they're planting a mine, just wait for him. Similarly for the tank, ground means nothing give it up to buy yourself some time. Coordination wins matches not being there the earliest moment you can (except the start).
In any case, the time and ticket cost is minimal. 15 sec to position for mine, 5 sec to plant, 15 sec to reposition and only 5 sec for a suicide spawn. We're planting mines in the area, not running across the map to plant in THAT spot all the time. We need another prac session to make this plan clear before we play ATF.
Stu: Cronos was included as a reserve, since he can't play Pmurgs will be our only reserve.

sweet - lets do this
Re: DGL Match 1 -- Grand Bazaar (=BUD BBX)
Yep I'm in as reserve.
I would like to say... you don't make practise, you don't play. Seems simple to me.
Also... if you only make half the practises/matches that are scheduled (you know what I mean), but others make them all, you should still sit out. One thing we agreed when playing BC2 was that we need a consistant team. Once we had that, our results improved a lot.
But in the end, it's Hubris's decision.

If I remember correctly, Phatso and Dragonne can't make this one... I would like to play NoMaD, but Cr0n0s and Pmurgs will do a good job in that role too in case something comes up.
Yep, that is what I said. That list is my preferred team and if NoMaD can't play, then you have nothing to be passive aggressive about.
We all know scheduling is always a problem and things always change. "But, in the end", it is my decision. I have and still will make a lot of them.
I make every effort to ensure we win. Consider your argument duly noted and let my preference for NoMaD be known as unchanged.

Sheeeew guys good job in a very tense and game. Decent way to start off our League matches. This game was a platform to go up and gear and prove to ourselves we can trust each other and dominate! Let's keep working on our calling and coordination with our squadies and those squads we need helping us.
We adapted on the fly and the communication was good for most of the match. We were all over them for both sides except for crucial moments and a tough tank battle! Good hustle Baggers! Can't wait to see the video and get snake's input. The flexibility was great, but we still need some xp to get it slick.
We did throw tickets into bad areas sometimes; but we learnt and started sending our flankers around which kinda worked. Sending NoMaD on long-way-round runs was great, but Lee was alone at the back. Also, we didnt end up squad switching much, so we have to be more conservative with the tactic and fix the switch fear.

Any ideas on how we can record the Mumble audio? Maybe someone else records the audio and we lay it over the video later? I dunno just guessing.

=BUD BBX. Round 1: BUD:17, Round 2: Grrr:69. Grrr won by 52 tickets

I can always sit in mumble and record it. Since I'm not playing it won't effect me obviously. Do you think it could cause lag to Lep tho?
