Do Gaming Grand Final 2010
Battlefield Bad Company 2
This document describes the Rules & Regulations which shall govern the Battlefield Bad Company 2 competition
in the Do Gaming Online Championships 2010. As a condition of entering this event, competitors agree to abide
by these Rules & Regulations for the duration of the competition.

General Information
About the event
1. The Do Gaming Battlefield Bad Company 2 Online Championship 2010 is the finale to mark the end of the Do
Gaming Online League 2010. Players will compete online for the chance to win massive cash prizes.
2. The Terms and Conditions herein set out the rules and regulations which shall govern the Do Gaming Online
Championships. By entering this competition, all applicants and players accept and agree to abide by these
terms and conditions.
3. Entry to the Online Championships is restricted to teams of eight players who have registered for the event
through the Do Gaming League website on or before the 14th of January 2011.
Eligibility
4. There are no specific entry qualification criteria for the Do Gaming Online Championships.
5. Players that were born later than the 1st of September 1994 may not participate in the Grand Final unless
their parent and/or legal guardian completes the Do Gaming parental consent form available from the Do
Gaming website.
6. Employees of Do Gaming and their respective affiliates, subsidiaries, parents, representatives, advertising,
promotion and publicity agencies and the immediate families of each are not eligible. Volunteers in the
league are however permitted to compete in these tournaments.
Competition governance
7. Competition governance will operate in accordance with this document and the Do Gaming General Rules. At
no time will participation in the Do Gaming Online Championships exempt you from the obligations entered
into and agreed to in any of these documents.
8. The Do Gaming Tournament Director is solely responsible for ultimate decision-making and adjudication in
all circumstances.
Competition Format
Tournament structure
9. The Championship will be held in two stages:
9.1. Stage 1: Round Robin (pools of 4) Starting on the 18th of January 2011 until the 31st of January at
22:00.
9.2. Stage 2: Double Elimination (top 8) Starting on the 2nd of February and finishing on the 15th of
February 2011 at 22:00.

10. In Stage 1 (Round Robin), teams will receive 2 points for a win, 1 point for a draw and 0 points for a loss. In the
event of a tie, positions will be decided according to ticket difference, then the result of the match between
them (and if necessary, a tie-breaker). In the event that a team should withdraw from the event they will be
replaced with BYEs. At the end of the first stage, the top 2 teams in each pool will progress to Stage 2
Winners Bracket.
11. In the event of the competition not running to schedule for whatever reason, the competition schedule and
format may be altered without notice.
Prizes
12. Do Gaming will award prizes to the top 3 placed teams in the final stage of the competition. Cash prizes are
awarded as follows:
12.1. First Place R12 000.00 ZAR
12.2. Second Place R8000.00 ZAR
12.3. Third Place R3200.00 ZAR
Prizes will be paid out to a single bank account (nominated by team captain) within 20 working days.
13. The winning team will also be awarded the coveted title of Do Gaming Battlefield Bad Company 2 2010
Champions.
14. In order to claim a prize, the clan leader must email (info@dogamingleague.co.za) their bank account details
and ID number using the email used to register the respective players account on the Do Gaming League site.
Game & Match Rules
Battlefield Bad Company 2 Rules and Regulations
15. As is mandated by law, all players must provide their own legitimate copy of our supported games in order to
partake at the event. An up-to-date listing of online retailers offering these titles can be located on the Do
Gaming website.
16. All games must be played on SGS servers. Prior to the competition starting, teams must ensure that they
have a compatible version of the game installed and are able to connect to the competition servers.
17. During stage one teams must make all efforts to contact their opponents via the Match Forum before
Thursday of the match week. If teams are unable to agree to a match time, the match defaults to Monday
8.30pm.
18. Once your match has been booked, your team is expected to be ready to play at the agreed time. Play must
start within 15 minutes of the scheduled match time, otherwise the offending team will forfeit the match. We
suggest that you and your team test your connection/game 10 minutes prior to the match to avoid delays.
19. Provided that you are still able to submit your match results by the deadline, teams leaders may agree to
postpone/reschedule a match. This should be posted on the match page so that tournament officials are
aware of the change and do not force you to forfeit.

20. Teams which the League Administrator deems to be purposefully unreasonable or intentionally attempting
to force a forfeit will, themselves, face penalties.
21. On official servers, all players must use the tag and nickname with which they are registered for the
disqualified.
22. Do Gaming will provide you with the name of your opponent. You must contact your opponent and make a
match booking. You will play each side of the map once (the team which booked the server decides which
side to play first). Once your players have arrived on the server, you should consult with your opponents as to
whether they are ready to start. At half-time, players must switch to the appropriate team, and the match
begins again.A team wins the half when their opponent's ticket count is depleted to zero. A team wins the
match if they lose the least amount of rounds in both combined.
23. Starting a match:
23.1. It is recommended that players take screenshots of their opposition's team line-up. No line-up
disputes will be accepted without accompanying evidence.
 Team leaders use global chat to make sure their opponents are ready.
 Once both team leaders have said "ready", the server admin can restart the match.
 The game begins immediately once the server restarts and map loading begins.
23.2. At half-time, this process must be repeated. Additionally, players from each team should take a
screenshot of the half-time and full-time screen (including ticket count).
24. Map selection will proceed as follows: Both team leaders will meet either in a chatroom or ingame. Each team
will eliminate one map each until only one map is remaining. That remaining map will be played. The teams
will decide amongst themselves who eliminates the first map. The team who eliminates second, will be given
the choice of sides. If an agreement cannot be made, both teams will meet on the match server and perform
a knife only round. The team who wins the knife only round can chose to eliminate first or second.
25. Match Results/Bookings:
25.1. Results must be uploaded to the Do Gaming website by BOTH TEAMS immediately after the match.
This upload facility is available on the match screen.
Do Gaming will release the match roster at the start of the tournament. Teams must book with their
opponents to play the match at a time which both leaders agree to. Once you have agreed upon a
match time a booked a server, you must make a post on the match page so that the tournament
officials are aware of the booking. Teams must make their match booking by no later than Thursday
(27 January 2011) evening.
If you are unable to contact your opponent by 27 January, please contact the League Admin
immediately.
Do Gaming strongly recommends that you make use of the Match page discussion forum to book
your match as all these messages are logged and your opponents will receive an email every time
you make a post.
26. Player Disconnects:
26.1. If a player disconnects from the server after the game has begun, the player must attempt to rejoin
whilst the match continues. In the event that the player is unable to rejoin, a reserve must be called in
to play. Only reserves/substitutes registered on your team line-up are allowed to join the game. If a
registered reserve cannot be contacted and your original player is unable to rejoin, the game must
continue with as many players as you have available.

26.2. In the event of a server crash, players must reconnect within 10 minutes of the server restarting. The
round that was underway must be replayed.
27. During Stage 2, a second map will be played to determine a winner. During Stage 1, draws are permissible.
28. No Substitutes besides those registered as your official reserves may be used in an official tournament match.

Conduct and sportsmanship
General Conduct
30. Players will conduct themselves in a professional manner, maintaining a friendly and polite demeanour to
spectators, members of the press, tournament officials, and to other players.
31. Abusive or disorderly behaviour, including any use of harassing, negative, or profane language, will not be
tolerated and constitute grounds for immediate disqualification.
32. Physical abuse, fighting or any threatening action or threatening language, directed at any player, spectator,
official or any other person will result in immediate disqualification from the tournament.
33. Gambling, including betting on the outcome of games is forbidden.

34. Players must not be under the influence of drugs or alcohol while playing. Any player suspected of being
under the influence of drugs or alcohol will immediately be disqualified from the tournament.
Cheating and violations
35. Cheating is any unlawful measure that gives a player an unfair advantage over others. Such measures include
(but are not necessarily limited to):
35.1. 3rd-party software (which may/may not be integrated into the game code) which bypasses the
natural competitive mechanisms of the game.
35.2.
otherwise be possible to execute or provide an unfair advantage.
35.3. Exploits (including game engine exploits, modification exploits and map exploits).
35.4. Players should use default player models, weapons skins, heads-up display (HUD), point-of-view
(POV), and sounds. If a default/standard configuration is supplied, players must use this.
35.5. Use of restricted/unfair CVARs or DVARs.
36. It is the responsibility of the player to understand and avoid all possible infringements. If you are unsure as to
whether your strategy constitutes cheating, please consult an official before your match.
37. Cheating can and will be monitored by the officials. They reserve the right to review game demos and make a
collective decision on any or all of these infringements.
38. Violation of any part of these terms and con
disqualification and/or loss of winner status.
39. If any player interrupts a game intentionally, that player will immediately be disqualified.
40. The decision of the referee and/or chief umpire is final. Disputes must be raised in a calm and discrete manner
with the appropriate authority.
Miscellaneous
Exclusion of liability
41. By registering for this competition each participant assumes sole liability for any personal injury and/or
damage to property caused or claimed to have been caused to him or her as a result of or in connection with
participating in this competition and/or any Prize.
42. To the extent permitted by law, neither the Organiser nor the Promoter is responsible or liable for:
42.1. inaccurate entry information,
42.2. entries that are not received for any reason, including because they are lost, misdirected or stolen, or
that are received, but are late, illegible, or incomplete
42.3. any problems or technical failures of any kind, including malfunction of any communication network
or lines, computer online systems or network, servers or providers, computer equipment, or software,
42.4. the unavailability or inaccessibility of any service whether or not caused by traffic congestion on the
Internet or any website,

42.5. unauthorised human intervention in any part of the tournament,
42.6. electronic or human error which may occur in the administration of the tournament,
42.7. any loss, damage or injury suffered or incurred by any participant or any other person as a result of or
in connection with participation in the tournament and/or any Prize, howsoever caused;
42.8. any injury or damage to persons or property, including to the participant's or any other person's
computer related to, or resulting from, participation or downloading any materials in connection
with the tournament.
43. These Official Rules do not affect, and are not intended to affect, any rights or remedies a consumer might
have, which cannot be excluded under applicable consumer protection laws. To the fullest extent permitted
by law, any liability of the Organiser and/or the Promoter or their respective servants or agents for breach of
any such rights is limited to the payment of the cost of having the Prize supplied again.
Recordings, media, publicity and taxes
44. In registering for this tournament, each participant authorises the Organiser and the Promoter to use, publish
and display his or her name and likeness and any footage, recordings and/or photographs of him or her
recorded or taken during this tournament, or any reproduction or modification thereof, in any manner and
medium throughout the world for advertising, trade, promotion, exhibition and any other lawful purpose.
Governing law and jurisdiction
45. These Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa and the parties submit to the nonexclusive
jurisdiction of its courts for the resolution of any dispute, difference, controversy or claim arising in
connection with these Official Rules, this tournament and/or the Prizes.

HOW on earth could they prove it NVM that they use the word SUSPECTED.
so all yo need is for some nana to be goofing around and they can say "suspected" mmmmmmmm

in connection with participation in the tournament and/or any Prize, howsoever caused;
42.8. any injury or damage to persons or property, including to the participant's or any other person's
computer related to, or resulting from, participation or downloading any materials in connection
with the tournament.
43. These Official Rules do not affect, and are not intended to affect, any rights or remedies a consumer might
have, which cannot be excluded under applicable consumer protection laws. To the fullest extent permitted
by law, any liability of the Organiser and/or the Promoter or their respective servants or agents for breach of
any such rights is limited to the payment of the cost of having the Prize supplied again.
Recordings, media, publicity and taxes
44. In registering for this tournament, each participant authorises the Organiser and the Promoter to use, publish
and display his or her name and likeness and any footage, recordings and/or photographs of him or her
recorded or taken during this tournament, or any reproduction or modification thereof, in any manner and
medium throughout the world for advertising, trade, promotion, exhibition and any other lawful purpose.
Governing law and jurisdiction
45. These Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa and the parties submit to the nonexclusive
jurisdiction of its courts for the resolution of any dispute, difference, controversy or claim arising in
connection with these Official Rules, this tournament and/or the Prizes.
