I was using the 870 shotty and it was not very effective - I couldn't kill long distance in the standoffs; hence my poor kill rate.

If I'm going to play recon again, I'll definitely pick a sniper rifle. I like the idea of 2 recons if we stick to a defensive strat.
However, I do not mind playing Medic if we are going to be more proactive and attack. MG3 baby!

Your call, Murgs.

MG3 is the worst medic gun I've used, and I have platinum in all the others. MG3 sucks for killing long range, as it's got such low damage per bullet and it runs out of ammo so quick, due to its high fire rate.

So last night I think we did exceptionally well, really and truly one of the best performances I have seen us put together. I still think we need a post match debrief and point out any problems/suggestions so that we can learn from it., so here is the only thing I think we can improve on

We need to learn to identify when the opposition is on the back foot so that we can make a push. As pointed out during the break there were a couple of times we could have steamrolled them but we only picked up once that they were in a weak position, that was when I think Lee naded 3 people and another 1 or two had been killed my Murg’s squad so they were heavily depleted.

Momentum is HUGE in the game, if you get the opposition on the back foot you have to press on, you can't let them gain ground. A perfect example was when they capped all our flags, if they kept up the pressure they might even have won the round but we were able to almost immediately get a flag back and then get our flags back. In fact during that period, I think they lost as many tickets as us.

That is about it, more of a comment than a criticism, once again, what an Epic game!

Well... for once, I was at a loss on what we could of done better after last nights game... until I read what Paul said. Reviving was great, my squad stuck we me close by all the time, great, they followed orders and performed well. But... I could of pushed us up a bit more often, or quicker, when we had the enemy on the backfoot. Paul is right. Gah! What am I saying! He's never right... so there must be something wrong here that I missing.

Anyway... we won I think because we stuck together and they often were caught going down too far from their medic to be revived. The squads sticking close together definitely works well for the heavy infantry focused maps.

Edit: Shady... I think at the start of the second round, I saw you using nades to take out the trees and bushes on the enemies side of the ridge. That was brilliant. Exactly the kind of thing I wanted. Gave us a nice open space to cut them down when they were trying to push up the hill against us.

Another thing... a couple of time I asked for covering fire. My idea then was so that the enemy didn't realise one or three of us, were pushing forward to suprise them through the frozen lake, because they would still get shot at from where we all were previously by whomever I asked to stay behind. Just thought I'd mention this and what my thoughts were behind it, in case we want to use it again. I know it worked perfectly when I rushed alone to take the two guys at the uav out when we were at C, as I got them both by suprise.

In a scenario where we have a strong defense and a slight lead, being cautious isn't such a bad thing. In the 2nd round we were more attacking and getting better at reading when and when not to push.

Yeah, I think it was exceptionally good form that we were patient and waited for those BREAK points before storming in.
In both rounds we were almost completely match ticket to ticket and we held our lines until each break before pushing.
Each push then gained us 30 or so tickets and then we reformed on lines again and waited.

With that kind of map it was a war of attrition and we played it well. Excellent combination of patience and raw talent.

You'll note that their star players Xennox and Dingbat did very well, which actually at the end of the day did nothing for their team.
We played the better Team game.
^ THAT RIGHT THERE --> has been a phrase in the waiting. It's taken us 3 Legs to get it right, but now our 'working as a Team' has finally manifested with formidable and damaging effects.

I've only been wrong once, and that's when I thought I was wrong.

... just in time for the end of BC2 in 2010 :gah:

EDIT: Still, it is an awesome feeling to be part of a team that played like we did last night. I almost feel sorry for NFX for Monday.
