Wow, it's been almost a year now since Lee got dunked in teh pool at Heatherdale, and I was offered the opportunity of leading our bunch of reprobates for my term.
Thankfully, that time is almost at an end. I can now look back and realise that what the guys who had the job before me were saying was true, the job is a difficult one.
Anyway, it's time now for all of us to elect the next poor sucker priviledged individual to the office of clan leader.
The best news of all is that this year, I'm not eligible
. I'd like this vote to follow a two stage process. Firstly, anyone may (but is not obligated to) nominate anyone in the clan (other than myself) for the position. At this stage, previous clan leaders can be nominated, I'll leave it up to them if they wish to exclude themselves from eligibility. If any previous leaders don't wish to be considered, they can excuse themselves, no questions asked. This option is of course open to everyone, we can't exactly force anyone to take the job, but I'd hope that anyone who hasn't done the job before would be willing to take their turn.
Once we have all nominations in, I'll create a poll where we can all vote for one of the chosen nominees. This nomination thread will be up for a week, and thereafter I'll post the poll, which will be up for another week.
As usual in this process, results of the final vote will not be revealed until the Saturday night braai at rAge, at which point, I'll step down, and the new leader's reign will begin.

My motivation: I think that Sheri always has the best interests of the clan foremost in her mind. She's a great leader (we can see that in her commander style), and is a good friend to all of us. She is considered in her opinions, and has always evidenced sound judgement. I'd be honoured to have her as my successor.
