This is just a little reminder that 2010 rAge tickets go on sale ON THE 1st OF AUGUST

Go and buy one if you want to attend. Even if you don't know for 100% that you can, rather get a ticket. Last year was sold out in less than a week and you will almost definitely find a buyer if you can't attend.

From the site:

* Bookings open for the NAG LAN at Computicket 1 August 2010. Go early. The last NAG LAN sold out within 1 week so make sure you get yours early
* The venue is the Coca-Cola Dome at Northgate
* The LAN opens at 10h00 on Friday [1 October 2010] and closes 15h00 on Sunday [3 October 2010]
* Tickets cost R300 per person for an entire weekend of gaming - this includes free access to the expo
* Seating arrangements are on a first come first served basis, thus you will not be able to reserve specific seating at Computicket
* VC will be running the NAG LAN. This means your LAN will always be powered, always be connected and always be fun. They are the masters at running events like this

I know we are most probably going to play in the BC2 competition, but don't wait for the comps arrangements for you to buy.

Like I asked in the other rAge thread, if we are not competing in the BC2 comp... is [grrr] still attending rAge?

Personally, I'd love to still go... but its easy for me as I live near Joburg. The real question is are our members in Cape Town/Durban/PE still going to attend?

If we get an idea for going, can we not select like 3/4 members to purchase tickets on behalf of the grrr members?

For me, rAge is about far more than just competing in a comp. It's our AGM if you like, a chance for most of us to get together and hang out, as well as handle the planning and leadership for the coming year.

Personally, I'd very much like for us to attend rAge as usual, regardless of the comp.

Having said that, I do think that there will be a BC2 comp this year, and that it'll be open to more than just the premier league. After all, look at COD4. IIRC, last year the top four divisions were included in the rAge comp.

We need to make a decision soonest, to ensure that we get sufficient rAge tickets when they are released, and get our accomodation booked before someone else gets it...

Everyone, please add your name to one of the below lists. ASAP please, so that we can get this decided. Remember that if people decide only to attend if we're in the comp and thus don't buy tickets for the LAN there is a good chance that we won't get sufficient tickets for everyone, as complimentary tickets are limited to the 8 players selected for the comp.

Remember that should the complimentary tickets get skipped this year round, a back- up ticket is more than likely what will be needed.
Also, are we going with a few Grrrbians buying a chunk of tickets? This may be the easiest solution imho.

One last thing, I am not going to sit in the pleb area... For me, that makes rAge pointless, I want to sit with my clan.
We need to try enter 2 teams if we have more than 8 guys (or 10 if they include subs)
