Sorry about my disconnections, guys. Telkom are being their usual brilliant selves.
Quick thoughts on tonight's match:
The good news: We did well in the second round.
The bad news: We should have beaten that lot in the first round. EASILY.
For future matches: If we are attacking a flag and the enemas have practically their whole army defending it, attack a different flag, FOR GOODNESS' SAKE. Once you see they have comitted numbers to a flag, it should be automatic that the first person down at that flag should respawn at base to collect transport and move on another flag. Leave your squad there - either they will cap the flag without you (unlikely if the enemas are there in numbers) or you will be in position on an easy flag for them to spawn on you when they die (far more likely). Basically, do exactly what murgs posted immediately prior to this post, which were doing in practice anyways, did perfectly in the second round of the match, but somehow totally forgot about in the first. We had lost 40-50 tickets in that first round from throwing ourselves at C before we even took ONE of theirs. No jokes, the score was 200-158 before the call was made to attack A instead.
Also, if we have 2 flags, all we need to do is defend them. It doesn't matter if you find yourself defending a flag that wasn't designated to you in the opening strat. Moving an entire squad through the open on foot to attack higher ground whilst the enemy moves in and caps the flag you left behind you is likely to end in tears 9 times out of 10.
Anyways, to end on a good note, we did do a much better job in the second round and the comms were 100% better - less than half the chatter that was going on in round 1, but more than double the amount of useful info being passed. If we can get ourselves into the frame of mind that we were in for round 2 for an entire match, we will pwn most of the teams in the league with us currently.

From the darkness you must fall
Failed and weak, to darkness all.

He tells no lies. The easiest way to get a flag is to attack one that is not being defended. More often than not (in all our matches) when we put pressure on a flag the enemy assign a lot more guys to it. That leaves the other flags open for easy pickings.
This same tactic was used against us in the first games.
But yes, this game was chalk and cheese compared to the others, we did 100% better on most fronts
