SHOH - 1st time I've got past 100 waves - considering it's a new profile and I'm just a Major - I think I did prurdy well:

i don't know if you get this too, but what i find the most successful is getting a bunker in there early as possible with 2 4Tp Gunners.
the Gunners seem to suppress the enemy so much so that it gives all other soldiers a chance to actually shoot them.
Also the earlier you get the gunner, the more he levels up - YOU SHOULD SEE HIM ONCE HE's 100Xp 100+ Rifle Z O M G

Will try that out. What I find works quite well is getting a bunker in about a 1/3 of the way down with an Engineer, a medic and a troup with a thompson and then having long range + suppression troups (snipers/gunners/singallers) at the bottom. The dude with the thompson will level quickly and pwn (give him nades later) and then I throw a lot of mines out with the engy for armour.

Mortars...
I get two of them on the bottom edge of the screen (out of 'general fire') as soon as I have the extra TPs (8 each).
If you move them around to delay their firing, you can get a shell going off every 5 seconds, and they decimate infantry (even those pesky snipers you can't see).
Also (and I assume most know this), if you place an officer near a gunner/mortar/whatever, it fires more often, and selects targets more appropriately.

If theres one thing I've learnt from playing computer games its that if anyone does better than me, they must be cheating.
