Chaos, I think the guys did very well yesterday, and also that both squads are playing nicely together. I think there was a little bit of confusion with some of the building names, which I trust will be sorted out before Sunday.
I think for the start of the game, we need to do the following:
You and myself will spawn, do the whole LIVE thing etc. When the game goes live, Murgs spawn, and the two of you take the Quad to B. I would suggest that Murgs drive, because he knows the road. I will take the APC down to our closest flag.
Once you guys are close to B, jump off, and let everybody else spawn on you two. That means, you will be 7 people capping the flag and I will be alone at our closest flag and bring in the APC as soon as our closest flag is captured.
I think, we need as many engineers as possible in the beginning, at least until their APC is taken out. Once their APC is taken out, you can all come in assault, perhaps 1 medic per squad would be nice. Chaos can make that call on who to play medic. But if the medic goes down, anybody should be comfortable to pick up his kit and continue playing medic.
Once we took out their APC, I will start a counter (I wrote a little program on that). When there is 30 seconds left before it spawns, I'll notify Krygorain. He can make a run to their base (quietly) and see if he could steel it for us. If we have both APC's we just HAVE to win. If Krygorain is unsuccesful in securing their APC for us, we need to start spawning engineers again.
The jobs of the two APC's (when we have 2) is to bring down buildings / hiding spots.
I love the plan except for the part about loads of engineers. SUre we'll take out their APC chop chop but what about all the troops? I would suggest the following STARTING kit assignment for the troops at B:
that way 3 engineers can take out the APC easily and we can fight off the troops. Krygorian can keep the motion sensors flowing and I can play wet nurse. XennoX, Dingbat and murgs are all good enough to kill infantry as engineers too.
Cool, Chaos, your assignments sounds very good. Just bear in mind that I too will spawn engineer, so one of the other guys could spawn assualt if they wanted. You are right, we should be able to take down their APC with 2 or 3 engineers, espeically if the rest make sure our engineers remain safe from infantry.
If they adopt the same strategy as we do, then I am hoping to be able to put in one or two shots in the APC with ours as well. So based on that, you are right, 2 or 3 may be all that is needed.
Something that I forgot to mention, if we took down their APC, then (especially our engineers who want to play assualt), just need to keep a look out for kits lying around and swap that out. (unless they die and select their own kit that is).
We need a plan, in case Chaos or I go down, before our squad spawns on us (not likely, but anyway). If one of us go down, someone in the remaining squad that does spawn, needs to quickly make a new squad for the rest of the guys to join to spawn in on.
I have practised driving the buddy from both bases, I think I have the route down pat to getting to B behind the mountain condo.
