ASUS Owners

Post by J_Th4ng »

Hey guys,

I need a quick indication from everyone. Who has any ASUS components in your PC's and what are they? Martin needs to get an indication of this, as well as whether we'd be happy to do reviews/endorsements of ASUS products. Email chain below:

That’s great and I’m quite convinced that ASUS would be in a position to supply the like and some,  Ok, so I’d need a total tally indication then?

Hopefully 1 down a few to go, Play from Coke could be the next and so we go, hold thumbs and everything else Grrr.

Regards
Martin Green

Hi,

We do indeed. In fact, I know of a few of our clan members (myself included) that have Republic Of Gamers (ROG) motherboards from ASUS. I also have an ASUS graphics card (ATI HD5870)

I can’t speak for the others, but I’d be more than happy to do an endorsement or review, I have had nothing but good experiences from my motherboard and graphics card.

Hello Jarrod, Mike

Trust all is well with Grrr

Just a quick one, ASUS in terms of product usage, would/do the Clan use any, if so what products? And would you be willing to endorse review etc?

Regards
Martin Green

I personally have said yes, because my ROG motherboard is the mutt's nuts. But if you've not had great experiences and would not like to endorse, please say as such. We need a tally of peeps with ASUS gear, and what it is. Please add to the list below (ASAP):

Dragonne (willing to review and/or endorse): Rampage II Extreme Motherboard, HD5870 Graphics card

Well my EN8800GTS is an ASUS and my new mobo is also an ASUS. Once I have it all installed I will give a review (not as in depth as Jarrod's PC BUILD REVIEW) and/or my thoughts

I'm not sure what else I have at home, will look through all the components, but I know I've got a "commando" mobo... think that's Asus.

Not that into hardware specs so don't know if my input would help. On the other hand, my review might be worth something as it'll be pretty much in layman's speak.

eg. I've got a big green motherboard for my quad-core. It says "Asus-Commando" on it.
I managed to get it second hand, was in such a hurry to get it set up and installed. Raced home to set it all up.
*tip: Before changing any hardware, remember you'll probably need drivers. If you don't have them in your hands, download them before dismantling a working pc.

When I got home, realised I forgot the cd, I did a quick google-search for Commando-motherboard and it took me straight to the Asus support page. One click on the 'download drivers' link and voila... easy!
Plugged in the new components, started the pc up. Installed the drivers... Working PC.

Asus P5N-Deluxe Motherboard user here.

Good motherboard, albeit middle range (ie: doesn't support the new "i" series Intel boards).

I don't have any ASUS hardware, used to, both the GFX card and Mobo blew on me. But, I'm still willing to endorse and review.

ED: Always wanted an ASUS ROG mobo tho

I've only been wrong once, and that's when I thought I was wrong.
