I've found the Medic kit is my fave. Been watching the maps and how to use the armour, but its a mission to get it atm. Have to spawn right away and sprint for it. Once its down, there's a queue of people waiting for it. Got some decent practice in it so far with the time I've had.
Medic and Assault = fave
Engi if I'm in a tank.

Re: Favourite kits / roles
tonight (in 400points time) I'll become a warrent officer and unlock the G3 - this is a general unlock for all kits, Im thinking of it as the uber sniper soldaten met und ball of "where the frak are they"...hopefully the G3 will not dissapoint. it seems silmilar power and accuracy wise to the AN-19 which is a fraking MADHOUSE assault unlock of doomage....so I'm hoping.
We'll see tonight - I'm sure you'll hear me screaming "Wootles" and ZOMG's all night long . . . .

Re: Favourite kits / roles
Good Kits for me:
Recon+Spas12 Shotgun (C4/Mortar) - Close range carnage
Medic+M60 Scoped - pwns in burst fire
Played a lot of the Engineers kits too, ok but SMG's takes a full mag to waste someone so not good against multiple targets. I dont think any of us should bother playing sniper rifles in clannies. Only useful time for sniper rifles is to get defenders off mounted weapons and you can do that with AT. I'd be interested to hear tho if someone does think they can help win a round with a sniper gat.

Re: Favourite kits / roles
Interesting reading all the comments.
I recon my favourite position as at now is definately in a tank either on the secondary gun or in the driver seat with the main guns. However, the main gun in most of the tanks are useless to take out infantry hence without a good gunner trying to conquer a map with the tank is useless. If you have a driver that is not driving around like a mad-horse the gunner could use the zoom function on the secondary gun and then it is really dangerous for the enemy. However, I've found that the tanks tend to lose their effectiveness if infantry can approach from the sides / rear. Very very effective in the rush modes when the enemy movements are predicatble.
When tanking fails, due to no gunner, close combat etc, then it is definately time to pull out the medic kit. Even the stock standard gun in the medic kit is an awesome weapon.
I haven't played assualt that much yet, just enough to ensure I can supply ammo in need. So I'll reserve judgement on that one.
I've tried to play recon, and though it is ok, it seems to lack some of the action (with the sniper rifle). However, saying that, I never walk past a recon kit in the field without picking it up, hitting 4, toss some sensor mines, and pick up my original kit again. BTW, this also works wonders for both the medic and asualt kits. Nothing like pikcing up a medic kit, toss out his med pack, and then continue with your current kit, only to receive some "squad heal" notification 10 minutes later on in the game. AAH bonus!!
Phatso, youve mention that FIB ain't our main competition and yes, I fully agree with you. I note that even some of the HF guys are now higher ranked than what we are. Saying that, I really like the tactical nature of the game which allows it for strategic planning / organising much more effectively than in COD or BF2. I think that the winning squad will not necessarily be the better individual players, but the team who have the best strategy. I am really curious to see what the rules of the league will be because that will determine if we need a RTS mentality to win or a hardcore quake mentality.

Re: Favourite kits / roles
I am also happy to work with the armour. I agree with Skoups, armour works MUCH better with 2 gunners. My thoughts are 3 squads; 3 man armour (defensive role), 3 man infantry (attack), 2 man infantry (ninja squad) and we should practice squad hopping to get good positioning. Top clans I would expect to be iB (Inglorious Bastards), sG (Synergy), FiB, SSG.
I would recommend that everyone tries to watch at least the top game off this list:

If Rush does make it to the competitive format in SA, it shows what works/doesn't. Its also pretty entertaining

Re: Favourite kits / roles
Well I got an unlock (Alternative Warfare or something) for the armour that give the driver "access" to a machine while driving. So it is like the OLD BF2.
But we don't know if unlocks will be allowed in comps so it may be a mute point

Re: Favourite kits / roles
I watched the game interesting tactics and take a ways we could use ourselves in the Rush mode. C4 seems to be the primary means for destroying points or just slamming in as much explosive materials as possible!
def. some stuff we can learn from those games we should look out at this in the future.
