As per our Whatscrapp group, I have downloaded to have a look at this.

Hasn't massaged my balls much, but I have 25GB to spare. Might as well ;)

I've spent a couple of hours with it, playing the couple of story missions included in the Beta, and a few side encounters - haven't entered the dark zone.

My verdict - It's pretty, quite a recreation of New York, but most of the buildings etc are just solid blocks, so it started feeling a bit samey. The interiors for the story missions are incredible though.

It ran like a dog on my rig, medium settings only got me 25 - 45 FPS. Possibly lack of optimization, more likely lack of an SLI profile leaving me to run it on one GTX670.

The gameplay is fun, although the gunplay is fairly standard stuff. I'm not usually a fan of cover based shooters, I keep getting stuck to things. I feel that it might get a bit boring over time, as most fights play out in exactly the same way.

For me this is not a launch buy. I'll give it a few months, check out the game's longevity, and jump in maybe when it goes on sale.

Logged 2 hours myself and I can only be honest.. I really wasn't impressed.

Cover, shoot, cover, shoot, loot. Repeat. I really found that incredibly boring.

I imagine the game needs a few little tweaks here and there but the gunplay was stale for me. The RPG elements didn't make up for it and the gear was very much "plain".
The missions (side and main) were quite original and the recreation of New York is breathtaking. The game ran surprisingly well on my rig at all medium averaging about 50-70FPS.

Didn't get to DZ, but apparently you have to be in a group otherwise you get smashed due to everyone seeing you on radar through walls when you engage on PvP. You get marked - check LevelCaps vid)

A Steam Sale in the future could convince me, but for now, I'm out.

urgh - I had 10 minutes on Friday night for the weekeneds entertainment, before going back to work - seemed pretty, but as you guys mentioned - ultimately boring, lifeless if you will - but I just had 10 minutes so not much to go on.
