Ideas for a different rage.
Good day Every one,
I would like some input for new things we can do rather than heather dale. As you are aware, the slush fund will make travelling for every one more easy.
So I want ideas of resorts to cities.
I would say Marloth Park in the Kruger park and we can rent two H1 hyundai's buses to drive all together. JNB people can meet up with the CPT/DUR guys in Nelspruit and pick them up.
Please contribute with useful information, so we can plan a different but epic party. please don't make sarcastic remarks.

I dont think we need to change the Rage tradition by not going to Heatherdale anymore. It's a tradition that I think needs to be kept ortherwize it's not Rage? We can always organize another a get together somewhere else at the places mentioned above for say a milestone like the 40th birthdays you guys did in CT. I'd be pretty down with that. But if the majority votes a new place then so be it

Seeing as I'm from CT I'd be super amped if we mix it up a little but Russy does make a good point. Even for me who hasn't been in the clan that long it would feel weird not to do it at Heatherdale.
But a few ideas are south coast like QB mentioned, or Drakensberg could be epic. Coffee Bay in the Transkei is definitely a cool option and it's equally far for both CT and JHB and close to Durbs. Accommodation is also cheap, I'm going there in Dec so will report but from all I've heard it's an absolute blast. Closer to CT there's Nature's Valley near Knynsa. Hell I'd even be keen to fly up to Durban for a change.
In the end though it doesn't really matter where we have it, as long as we have as many of the Grrrbians coming as possible. Just my 2c. So maybe instead of changing the location for rage, we can just change the date? Find one that suits as many members as possible and then use the slush fund to help them get there. I mean half of us didn't even go to the expo last time and unless we're competing next year...

I doubt we will have a team this rage unless we move straight into prem. So if we do the rage weekend, we would need to stay some where else but places are limited, So people will need to come up with other IDEAS on where to stay... As Cat Nipples said, Half of the guys including myself did not even go to the expo. Moving to some place on another weekend would still be amazing as we are a GRRR family. Once we have come up with ideas we will put a post together with a voting system.
So if you dont want to do heatherdale and still go to rage, come up with places we can all stay at that will accommodate us. if we have a prem-team it is a different story, we would have to go and support.
If we move it to another weekend, we could do some thing different.
Another Idea would be a fishing trip by the VAAL with boat and tubes and stuff, some thing different...a DIFFERENT activity...

I believe the vibe will be the same with everyone together as compared to Heatherdale.
So i am all for changing it up, i mean imagine relaxing with a view of the mountains or the vaal, at heatherdale all we see is chalets, and russians face. I think tradition is good, but the main reason why you guys stayed there was because of rage, now most of us don't go anymore so why not mix it up?
