Its time to talk RAGE!
This year is Grrr's 10 year anniversary and so we need a fitting celebration.
The gaming looks very much on the back burner this year, since we more than likely have no team competing at RAGE.(unless the CS team surprise us and get into the top 16 of DGL)
I think we need to have an epic party.
My suggestions is we book out the entire venue we have stayed at the last 2 years.
We invite some Clans that have been traditional friends of Grrr to come join in our celebration.
We could have this big party on the Friday or the Saturday night. Perhaps we can do the traditional Grrr speeches and leadership hand over on the Thursday night.
So we need to get numbers of who is coming to rage.
We need suggestions of who we would like to invite.
We need suggestions of how we will plan and pay for the party, and if it is feasible and what we want to do.
I really think everyone in the clan should make an effort to come this year.
Its a long lead time, so plenty time to tell/bribe the wife and get your shit in order.

As for clan friends/guests the two clans that we've historically been closest to have been BBH and the War Geeks. Would be great to get a few of the to attend. There are also a number of individuals from the community that we should invite.
The only issue I see is that, for the non-JHB people, getting them to travel to JHB to spend a weekend with us might be a bit of an ask. And for the guys that do stay in JHB, would they really want to pay to stay with us at Heatherdale?
Incidentally, on an unrelated note, when I was in JHB over Easter I bumped into our lesbian hotel manager in Melville. I don't know if she's still there, but if she is hopefully she would be able to orgainise us a good rate if we took the whole place (especially if Bruce was coming again this year).
I might be interested in attending the LAN, but will only bring my PC up if we drive.

I agree with Jarrod, We need to put a money basket together to assist the CPT guys with petrol and the drive. maybe if every one can put R50/R100 into the slush fund we could pay for petrol and tolls over end July and august... it will really contribute to the party. Jarrod can set up a savings here.
Also from my experience, I rate if every one puts money into the slush fund so say R150... this will include food for the weekend. I dont mind planning food. Like a lamb and apricot potjie for thursday and a spit braai for saturday. just to make it a good weekend with good food. please I would like suggestions for food pricing and I mean what is R150 over three months for food. Jarrod can set up a savings here.
I also suggest shirts, people need to give input here, dont be wankers...no idea is a bad one unless you gave birth to russian. I want a golf shirt, reason is I want to be able to wear it to work on a friday. I think it should be a little more showy than BLACK!..maybe light blue or some thing different that stands out. I will help doodle where I can if need be.
I am not fucking sleeping next to that harley of a snorer Russian. I would rather club baby seals than try close my eyes next to that man...
