PC Monitor - Help

Post by Reaper »

Hi Guys,

I need to purchase a pc monitor. Looking for 24" odd screen. Max wanna spend R3000.

Brands i wanna stick too are ASUS, LG and Samsung preferable.

I need it before monday, so obviously time is against me.

Any help or feedback would be greatly appreciated!!!!

Regards,
Reaps

ok, thanks to Kalgat, i have narrowed it down to 2 monitors.

ASUS VX238H and ASUS VX239H.

238 is a TN display with 1ms response but 239 is a IPS display with 5ms. There are many reviews online and cant decide.

They are both the same price. Which would you go for???

1ms for me, but others might disagree.

My needs are purely gaming, not for work etc.

IPS gives brilliant colour reproduction, will look gorgeous.

My current monitor is a Samsung T260, it's only 5ms, and I've never had any problems with ghosting.

As such, I'd probably go for the IPS, but if possible you should check both monitors out to see which looks better for you.

Ja it depends on your eyes if you can see the difference between 1ms and 5ms then go with the 1ms. Otherwise go with the 5ms that has a better picture

1ms would mean the micro difference in input lag, rather have less input lag and go for the 1ms monitor if its purley gaming

I've only been wrong once, and that's when I thought I was wrong.
