Hey guys so after a reasonably successful testing night, I thought it would be a good idea to change the server over to the THUNDERDOME. I know I'm kinda mavericking this one but I was just really disappointed how little variety there actually was in terms of servers and how little ours actually got going. I think people genenrally like the mixed modes but Obliteration is just not popular. Rush and Obliteration seem to bring on the rage quit.

I hope that with Thunderdome four teams will enter, one will leave! I removed "sniper" maps from the squad deathmatch rotation and there is no APC in BF4. This means it's pretty much a Domination style map with 3x the number of enemies. Considering how people love the 24/7 Lockers servers simply because they are infantry only, I hope we can bumb up the popularity of our server and the game mode.

40 Player Squad Deathmatch Thunderdome. I think it has potential. Let me know what you think! It's pretty much guaranteed to be madness, but it could see some cool pick up style clan battles. I also like the fact that there's no objective and it's all about squad work and staying alive. That said, EA has not given this game mode much love and there are still some basic scoreboard and random spawn problems.

We may as well give it a shot unless anyone has objections? I guess the only real argument could be lack of commander mode, but our gogocommanderboy Skouperd has hung up the tags for a bit methinks.

Lets give it till tomorrow or so Stef, just in case someone has a massive objection.

Yeah I'm sad to see the commander option not used but we can switch between Mixed Modes and Thunderdome relatively easily now as I recorded most of the settings. Shouldn't take more than an hour to properly sort out a swop over if a fanny wobble occurs. In any case my intention was to experiment it's not a perma change.

Well that didn't work. Turns out EA/DICE left a lot of things undone on SQDM and the mode itself has pretty big problems probably yet to be identified by them. The balancing was seriously not working, despite using "approved" scripts designed for SQDM and planning it all out and setting it all up before hand. I then found another two methods for balancing the server on SQDM but I've lost faith forever tweaking them to nowhere. All I heard from the [grrr]s the past while relating to the server and a team has been constant complaining, zero suggestions and a general fuck this vibe from everyone.

I've reset the server to Mixed Modes and am handing back the Procon to DryMan. I'll help DryMan and Egg as they require but as far as I'm concearned I'm taking a serious break from [grrr]. I've put a lot of time and energy into this clan and this game in particular for a long time and I'm right back in that place where I feel like it was all for nothing recently. I'm not blaming anyone or anyone in particular and I'm not looking for sympathy or an apology, but I just cannot do it anymore. I'll still lurk around in the shoutbox every now and then for a laugh but I don't expect I'll be on TS or playing Planetside 2, DayZ or whatever is the clan game of the day any time soon.

I don't know what I want from gaming, if anything, and I need to figure that out first. I hereby sadly hand in my Battlefield tags and any "status" I have in grrr. Battlefield is it for me, I love that game and lately all I do is hate it because I waste my time over and over again trying to I don't know what with the clan. My mates hardly play BF anymore and the few who actually do rely on each other to keep the dream alive. I just don't believe in it anymore and I'm terribly sorry to let you down. For real though, I really was dunked by that feeling tonight and realised I'm all out of heart and fucks. I need to do something else with my time.

I'm sorry I lost my cool uncle you know I love you.

Eish...from my side, I was only kidding Hubi. I hope you know that.
The game mode is allright, yes, the balancing clearly needs fine-tuning but the hitreg just had me complaining the whole time.

Sorry if we upset you.
