Hi guys

As mentioned in the previous thread, I want to get this ball rolling for us to learn as much as possible about Battlefield 4 before and during the games release.

Lets keep the discussions on topic and always post sources.

Can we try keep this thread text heavy as opposed to image heavy please. Post links to large images.

This is an attempt to create a list containing every single (relevant) feature of BF4. Keep in mind that every item written in italics is not confirmed and has only been seen in the leaked Alpha Files [AF] (it might not be in the final game!).

Holy Moley! How long did it take to get this all together? IS this going to change at all after the alpha and beta tests?


One more thing, whether we compete in hardcore competitions or do our own versions I would strongly suggest we everyone tries pick up games. I played a few over the weekend and it was very fun.

Played a Siene match where both rounds went below 100. You get to know people and you do learn a lot. Strangely enough I was SL for the infantry and manage to finish with a healthy KDR, long time since that happened in a match.

I think we need to get members to specialise from the get go in certian positions. Ex: Tanker, Medic ect..

Some keypoints I took out (TLDR):
- Reference is made to 1942, 2 and 3. "There is no best battlefield game".
- DICE have built BF4 to be a great game first and have kept eSports in mind.
- The commander will not really part of the actual battlefield, but will be more strategic ("chess game where teams are your chess pieces")
- "Any army, on any side, on any map"; "US vs RU, RU vs US, China vs RU, RU vs China, China vs US...etc"
- "on PC you will get custom UI and HUD. And you can scale those"
- Improved netcode / hit-reg
- Improved patching/updating
