Ok. So its good, but here are some issues I need help with...

Admin Privileges.
Example. CPUZ. Downloaded from the internet, needs access to the computer to read CPU, RAM information etc. So every time I start it up I get an irritating warning. So to save myself right-clicking on the application and selecting "Run as administrator" every time, I go into the properties of the exe (and shortcuts, just in case) and check the little tick box that says "Run this program as an administrator", for ALL fucking users, in particular, me.
Sounding good? I thought so. Still asks me if I want to allow access to my computer when I click on it, and it even has the cheek to put a little admin shield on the icon as if to say "Fuck you Mega, you stupid prick, did you really think it would be that straight forward? HA HA HA!" I also found another "helpful" little check box that says "This program came from the internet: Unblock?" Which seemed to be another red herring.

Got it working but have to manually dial the International connection before starting it up. Anyone found a workaround?

I have the same issue with CPUZ, Prime95 and Realtemp as well.

TBH, I don't know how to fix it, other than disabling UAC. That'll stop any reporting though, so I wouldn't recommend it. Besides, how often do you plan on running CPUZ once your PC is running and tuned to perfection?

More of an irritant for me was the fact that it was happening every time I opened XFire. So I've stopped using it. I tend to use Steam to identify who's online anyway, especially as most grrr's (despite repeated requests) don't tend to use XFire.

I don't use RS, so can't help with that.

ahhh the fix is easy .......install win xp
tbh i will only think of switching to win7 in a year or 2 ...when they finally got most the bugs sorted

Base - most of Window's releases have been buggy so I guess its easy to pre-judge. After 3 days of working with a new OS those are my only complaints. The list of positives over XP is far longer.

Weirdly, MS grow their balance by making progress with their software i.e. aAdding and improving on feautres, stability and performance. Windows 7 does all of these over XP, and is one of the most stable OS's I have ever used. Especially considering it's only a couple of weeks since it was launched.

Do you not have any MS software on your PC? Or are you also one of 'the idiots'?

Of course you should stick with XP if you want to, it's a perfectly functional operating system. Of course, so was MS-DOS 6.2...
