The laid back exploration society...

Post by J_Th4ng »

Dragonne wrote:I'm gonna have to drop out tonight. I spent a fair amount of time last night battling to get my mic working under Win7, and am getting nowhere. I'm not going to join the co-op scene until I've got it working, hopfeully in the next couple of days.

Enjoy though, the game is pretty awesome, and co-op will make it even better :D

Well, the good news is that I now have a working microphone again (new sound card FTW!!)

The bad news is that the core group that started on Sunday are so far ahead now that I'll never catch up :(

Anyone interested in setting up a slower paced group that will play max every second day (more likely two or three times a week) for a couple of hours (8pm - 10pm/11pm).

I'd like to expereince the entire game co-op, but taking a slower approach, so that everyone in the group has a chance to read all of the quest details and follow the story as we go, as well as doing a fair amount of simple exploration.

Anyone keen?

I don't mind starting a level 1 character and doing all the side quests.
Just hope the Gamespy issue is all sorted now though.

I've only been wrong once, and that's when I thought I was wrong.

Jarrod, I don't think that the catch up issue is going to be as big as what you think... As per your Dragon Age thread, I totally agree with it.
There just isn't enough time to play games these days... And it is sad. My play times are Sunday to Thursday, maybe 2-4 hours per day. I don't play nada on a Friday or Saturday, so believe me, the frustration is strong with this one :rofl:

I want to still HAVE time to play all the other games I enjoy, but I also really don't want to fall behind too far.

I don't know who has what level characters, but as a suggestion, I think we should get characters up to level 19-20. That is the time most people will move to the next "zone" if you can call it that. That being said, I am sort of "parking" my lvl19 Siren for now, because I really wanna play other games. And if Gayspy fucks out like it did last nite, it really eats up my ltd playtime.

I would start another character... but ffs, I don't have even enough time to play 1 character solidly.. :banghead:

Drag - I would start a char again with you.

But perhaps you and I can pair up for a game or three as I am only lvl 14 so we evenly matched? I will be trying to fix my crash issue this weekend by borrowing some DDR2 ram modules from some mates.

...

*NB* I would consider this a secondary character, so if the original grrroup was playing on a night that clashed with this one, I would give the original grrroup priority. Very keen to try a different class to Hunter though.

Cool stuff j0no, but ideally I want to put together a group or whom this game would be first priority. I get little enouigh time to play, wouldn't want to lose out on a night's co-op Borderlands because the other group was playing. I'll put you down as a reserve though.

1. Drag (Soldier or Hunter class)
2. Ice (Soldier or Siren)
3.
4.

3/4 Optional/Reserve
* leelo0270 - Siren/Berserker
* j0nny (Soldier or Siren)

I haven't bought the game yet 'cause I thought it'd be another TQ... me joining too late to really play MP.

If you get a 3rd person, let me know and I'll purchase the game. I'd be keen to participate in a slow-paced MP experience.

Otherwise, I was thinkin of just buying Dragon Age.

I have had a week from hell - it started with Jay saying "Do you have any idea WTF the time is" at 00:30 on Monday Morning - just as i was finishing up an excellent round of Borderlands.

I slept for 2 hours and our baby woke up with a serious fever. So that is how monday began and it has just got worse day by day. I have drunk so much coffee that my eyes are turning brown. So i think that i will have to join the LBE (Losers but Enthusiastic) society or :banghead: ...

1. Drag (Soldier or Hunter class)
2. Ice (Soldier or Siren)
3. Slo (Hunter)
4.

3/4 Optional/Reserve
