Just remember Jonny and Dry are switching places. Dry and Tyger will do the upfront frantic nasty and be responsible for bringing rockets as infantry. Lee and Phatso should be medic whoring all night long, focusing on guarding flanks and stayin alive.

Jonny will spawn engineer, place mines and then if required switch to recon and create a new squad for beacon placement so we can get a strong attack on their gimme. Paul and Cronos do their normal stuff repping and trooping as required.

Its very important that Lee and only Lee joins Jonny's new squad to spawn on the beacon. Lee will then create a new squad and everyone will join him there - that way we get 4 guys (medics) ready to roll with Jonny supporting - 5 man attack!

As Paul says, let's just work on the pairings and the peek/res discipline. No strats yet we don't know what maps we are playing but I expect all of us are up to date on what to do and a 5min beat down before game will suffice. Let's gets warmed up and focused early to get some real good face raep in!

Just to confirm:

Tyger (Engineer/Medic) - Rusher - Pair 1
DryMan (Engineer/Medic) - 2nd Rusher - Pair 2
Phatso (Medic) - Revive and Peek Whore - Pair 1
Slippery (Medic) - Squad Leader / Rear Guard - Pair 2

Hubris (Medic/Engineer) - Armour Driver
Paul (Engineer) - Armour gunner / 2nd repair
Cronos (Engineer) - 1st Repair / Rear Guard
J0nny (Engineer/Recon) - Extra rocket / Beacon

Do like, do like.

The squad switching is something that when executed quickly is absolutely devastating. 5 man spawn bomb will overwhelm most teams IMO. Lets have it as a key outcome to execute tonight.

OK last night was a bit scrappy but I think Phatso had a point, we need to have a bit more fun but still take it a bit serious.

So things we have learnt in the last couple of matches

* C flag on Karkand and Sharqi are premo and need to be defended
* Tank steals are easy so we need to mine the take spawn even with just 1 mine to avoid this happening

Things we need to work on
* Sticking together as squads
* Reacting quicker to what is infront of us. If the plan fails then what?

Tonight we will split into different Channels to see if comms work better, Hubris will shout across channels if he wants the infantry squad to do something specific

Well yes it was scrappy, but we know why that's the case - none of us is in the zone. I have been trying to figure out what we did wrong and it goes back to the same old story. One or two guys is/are able to harass and wipe out an entire squad. They had one guy sniping on the roof of a building, one guy waiting for our tank spawn and 8 of us couldn't deal with the other 6.

This happenes because we are all running around trying to make an impact and with no real idea about what we are doing. By the time we come to a crucial piece of ground, we die because we're running to a place beyond that or in the open whilst they're waiting patienty in ambush. If we don't each don't take ownership of our roles all the strats in the world are just hot air. The overall level of preparedness last nigt was shocking, we have lost a lot of progress in this break which was abused.

We all need to have a precise understanding of where we need to be when and where the threats will be coming from. There's no way we can chop and change our plans in game without that foundation. That's where the frustration and negativity sets in because we start blaming each other for not doing what we think are their jobs; but the plans are fluid and it is a mess. Anyways, it was a good game experience albeit learnt the hard way.

Guys please, just think about Battlefield a bit each day and your role/positioning on each map. If you dont know what to do, that is a serios problem - please post now so we can get this train steaming again. I know real life is a bitch and whatever else but if we want to even have a shot at beating a team in this tourni we need to galvanise. Now. We play BFC again tonight on more familiar maps and we have a chance to stop lookig for excuses outside outselves and redeem our professionalism.

I'm aiming for Bazaar and Seine, but let's see what we end up with. Please, apply some forethought to what you may be doing and make sure you are aware fully of what is expected of you and which areas you will hold etc. I think we have the strategic plans and tools we need to get this right, we've done it before, but it's all about how we internalise this and get back on track in every sense. The casual gamer approach just doesn't work in competition.

Based on this thread http://dogamingforum.co.za/viewtopic.php?f=24&t=189&start=10

This is it, chances are the next leg will only start next year, so after rage there will be a ton of time to do your own thing (although I think we should have prac matches etc just to keep it together).

For the next 9 days please make BF3 your priority where you can.

Hubris is right though, we might be logging into a BF3 server but our heads are not there.

Litmus test is do you know what the strats are on each map? If you don't or only know part, then how can you know what your role is or expect to take up another role and execute effectively? Use that as an exercise to test your knowledge and troubleshoot the gaps. Think about the flow of the game, think about where others will be and what gaps exist. It'll do wonders for awareness
