So either we wait fo that, or you wait until Friday night when the steambackup option becomes available.

Either way it's a wait :( soz

I don't get to try it out this weekend either. . .Friday night i'm off with Family for the weekend at MidMar Dam. *sigh
Sunday night FTW.

Just did a little reading on teh Steam forums, and it appears that you can't backup/restore pre-load files. You have to download them again if you lose them. So, Lee, would you be able to send through a backup to me once the game is unlocked? I doubt that I'll download the files over the weekend, 7GB will kill off most of next month's cap.

Unless of course the other Capetonian owners want to share the cost of the bandwidth to download the game? However, at R70/GB, that'll work out prety pricey, even between the three of us.

I'm not overly stressed, I still need to get my PC sorted out and working properly.

Did the install last night. All I was asked to specify was the install directory. The game isn't added onto steam. If I look at my steam account its there. Its not launched through steam though. So.... i'm not sure....

.... anyway. Played it. Its awesome fun. The way things are animated is a bit different, but works nicely. Chose to play with Brick, the beserker class. Not having any trouble soo far. Got a nice assault rifle, that being said it only has a 12 round mag and fires 2 rounds per click... so occassionally things get a little exciting :gun:

Unlocked the base ability, which enables you to punch your opposition in a frenzied attack. Its quite manic. Got 3 skill points to assign, still.

Game looks good.

Well, mine activated @ 2am - so when i checked this morning it was all decrypted - - woot.

Done a SteamBackup for Jarod - So he'll have to PM his address for me to send it.

Otherwise, I havent checked it out.

Peeps have had nothing but good things to say about the game, so I'm stoked...we're in for a fun ride!

If your PC hadn't broken down half way through, you wouldn't have had to download 12GB. Not our fault :ras:

Besides, we went the Steam route coz we got the game cheaper that way, based on a 4 for 3 deal.

I'm a little sad that I won't be playing this weekend, but I can wait an extra day or two for the backup to arrive from Durban...

Game is installed and running :woot:

Found a webafrica 10GB trial account that I hadn't used, and downloaded through the night :D

Now I just have to burn a couple of backups for Geth and J0nno, and we're all sorted.

Sunday night's meet, greet and massacre is back on!! :happy2:
