THE LOGO - for print, for s3x, for lols, for the whole family

Post by SlipperyDuck »

OK, so we wanted the GRRR Logo for the Jackets to embroid on the front pocket.

Now, you can't just use a JPG/GIF image and expect it to look even remotely good when embroyed, unless there are VERY FEW colours in it.

So - The duck went off to work and HAND SKETCHED(well photoshop laboured) THE ENTIRE LOGO FROM SCRATCH - and here it is.

I'm gonna attach SEVERAL formats - vector and raster types.

Here we go - attaching

Wow, nice work ducky.
I know from experience what a mission a vector artwork like that is to do!

Excellent work!

awesome, someone who can appreciate the absolute monumental effort it takes - thx tyger.

It stayed true to the original - so I think we can all be stoked to put it on something like our Jackets

Very very nice indeed Ducky. A lot of hard work is gonna pay off.

One thing I need to mention though. I assuime that the patch we put on the jacket is just going to be the colour part of the design (i.e. not the white surround)?

If so, there might be a problem considering the jacket is black? The rifle barrels at the bottom of the image will get lost.

How do we fix? Do we put a thin white line around that part of the image?

Sorry to criticise Lee, I know you woreked really hard on these. But we need them to look pimping on the jackets.

its transparent the white you see is the thumbnail image generator - it's got nothing to do with the image itself.
Attachements and thumbnails do their own thing.

Gonna try do an [IMG) post here to see if the transparent image shows up:

Well seeing as the Jackets are Black, why don't you just change the white into Black then we will see the full effect

Lee, I get that tthe white area is transparent, I just worry that the darker parts on the edges of the image (i.e. the rifle barrels) will get lot when embroidered onto a black background.

I don't think so, I think its different enough shades of black to stand out, plus the embroidery itself stands out, its basically an emboss.
Emboss like a boss!
