So, being the addict that I am, I went and bought the Brady guide for the game. Willing to pass copies on for anyone who's interested, I just need to check if there's any DRM on the PDF. Thus far it's looking quite good, I've dropped a copy on my laptop and one on my iPad, and they both seem to be readable without any security concerns.

This game seems to have a pretty steep learning curve, a little bit of info/instruction is probably a good thing.

I found that - whilst perhaps a little aimless in my pursuits - I'm having no trouble figuring things out - not taking too many things seriously, yet. The action is purdy much non-stop in this game, thats the best part - you never find yourself having to travel long distances or walking around looking for things to do, there is always something happening, events unfolding. Dullness factor is as close to zero as it's ever gonna get with an MMO, they've got the formula Spot freaking on.

At first you may not quite understand what everthing is or does, where to go, what to do. Just join in with random events and such and you eventually start to make sense of it all.

AND it's gorgeous , stunningly elegant, striking, dazzling and magnificent - best ever MMO GFX I've seen.

It's early days, so I can't comment about the worthiness of the investment, but, no subscriptions for littereally limitless hours of gaming Action and glourous Vistas is a BIG plus in my books, so I honestly don't see a downside (yet).

First night in - love it, bigtime. Take LOTRO and multiply by 87 Gazillion (if you see what i did there), leaps and bounds better and rewarding.

Use it / Don't Use it.

@ 87 reference.. ITS 87 BAJILLION!!! (BL2, cu@22septBRO).
Jarrod, I saw that guide go on sale and immediately thought of you :D

(i would love a copy mate)

To be crystal clear, I will not try sell this to anyone. I still feel horrible how D3 turned out.
If you want to play a decent MMO, I believe GW2 has what it takes.

Give it a bit of time, get the files from one of us at rAge, and take the plunge if you want :)

There is a ZA guild already AFAIK. Iniuria or something. Its got most SA players.

Whether the BOC, SSG, WrG, BvD and grrr guys are joining it remains to be seen. Yep, those are the clans I know of.

But you can join 3 guilds AFAIK. And there are some perks apparently, so in theory, I would join the big guild as one of em.
