Email from my aunt with regard to the badges she can make:

Hi Daar,

Ek het die volgende hoops
Length x Width
10cm x 10cm
15cm x 15cm
17cm x 10cm
18cm x 13cm
24cm x 15cm
36cm x 15cm (min 2 portions)

Biker logo was +/- 62500 steke @ R2.50/1000 steke = R157.50 + naam op elke logo = R18.00 + materiaal (denim) waarop logo gewerk was = R5.00.
Totaal na afslag was R175.00

Die logo was net groot genoeg om in die 24 cm x 15 cm te pas ( i.e. 149.8mm x 234.4mm)

-----

So, the translation for all the souties, the above means that a logo using 61,500 stiches, fitting in on 150mm by 234mm costed around R175 give or take.

Ok I like the Sherpa jacket that Onyx proposed, can we find our what colours are available and if we would qualify for a wholesale discount seeing as we would be purchasing bulk.

@ Onyx let me know if you want me to run with it as you have also done your fair share of organisational thing you have!

Is is only T-shirts? We are looking at getting Jackets that we can add a patch to each year but are having trouble sourcing cool one.

Does you friend also have jackets?

What material? Leather jackets?

Nope like miltary style jackets. We were looking at these but they didn't have enough stock

Ive been advised that he can do it, it will be close to R500.

Will confirm after the designer guy has been consulted.

Thanks, Stu. I will let you know. Let's see how Paul's contact pans out.

This is what I got from Mandy from this place I enquired from:

Hi Odette
If you take the jacket branded, lead times are 5-7 working days from date of artwork approval.
For unbranded items, it is 48 hours after payment cleares in our account.

Yes I have stock of all colours. NOTE that stock cannot be guaranteed unless paid for.
The Embroidery costs are an estimation till we receive the logo and do a stitch count, yes we need to have the logo for branding on pocket area or what ever position you need.
Kind regards
Mandy

Honestly, the company that Onny is talking to looks like a great option. The parka jackets lok legit, and we can get them in dark grey (win).

Add to that the fact that they will do the embroidery of the clan logo on the pocket, it seems like a perfect solution.

Does anyone not like those jackets? Link again for those who can't remember what they look like: http://www.belleregalo.co.za/gifts/winter-jackets.htm

It's the fourth one down, the Sherpa jacket. Jacket cost is between R395 for midget size, and R475 for Denis size. That's a good deal cheaper than the last jackets we were looking at. The slush fund can cover the cost of embroidery, especially if those who have already paid in for the previous jackets are happy to leave the difference as a donation to the fund...

Sounds good - bear in mind that part of the idea as I understand it, is to support Skouperd se tannie se embroidery. By all means get the jacket from these peeps, but check with Denis before we ask them to do the embroidery as well, asseblief. I would rather send the work to Skouperd's aunt if she needs it.

Remember, the embroidery will just be for the clan logo on the jacket pocket, which I must say would be cool to have embroidered directly onto the jacket.

All of the patches that we're going to need can be passed to Denis' aunt. As a start, we'll want a patch for rAge 2012, and maybe a couple of special achievement patches?
