So rAge is approaching pretty fast only 4 or so months. Whether or not we will be at the actual rAge will depend on whether BF3 is there or something that allows us to not wonder around like lost farts.
However for the purposes of this thread lets assume there will be a grrr rAge weekend. Traditionally we get 1 or 2 t-shirts with logo's. These are of varying quality and style. Most people either never wear the shirts again or they wear out pretty quick.
So I was thinking and this was spurred on by Cr0n0s's request for the old T-shirt design and by Skoup making a suggesting of getting Grrr Jackets or something that his gran makes. [Skoup please can you give a description, your message got lost with the migration otherwise I would post it here.]
So I thought we should this year either get a very high quality , well designed (they usually are) T-Shirt or Jacket, that can be use over the years, at our gatherings or even just going out on your ace.
So before we go a head with this I thought we could discuss and see what you guys think. Then we can get quotes to see if any additional money needs to be collected etc.
So go wild what do you guys want as the Grrr 2012 summer range?

well I don't know about you but I wear my shirts very often! I'm even getting a Grrr badge made for my JuiJitsu gi.
But I'm keen for something with more exposure value for sure! Lets get some ideas rolling aboot!

I think that jackets are a very cool idea. If we're going to go that route though, we'll need to plan how exactly we're going to get them made.
Could be as simple as getting a common jacket for everyone from a certain brand/store, and then having patches made which can be added to the jacket every year/significant milestone.
We'd also need to consider a budget. T-Shirts are fairly cheap to get printed, whereas jackets and patches would be a little more expensive. Would people be prepared to contribute towards the jackets, and if so how much? What style of jacket would be best?
I agree that it would definitely be good to get something different to the annual T-Shirt that gets worn once or twice. A couple of years back I got beanies for everyone, which seemed like a good idea, but it's not something that most people wear regularly. Whatever we choose to go with, it needs to be something that is practical and that people will want to wear.
One thought on the T-Shirts is that the ones that we bought over the last couple of years have been very cheap and cheerful, which means that they lose shape/break etc much too easily. The earlier generation T-Shirts were a lot better quality, and as such I think are worn more. I certainly will put on my shirt from the first two years a lot more often than the newer ones.

Skouperd's aunt housed myself and Denis last year on the way back from rage. She has a sideline business doing embroidery and showed us some samples of her work. she has a fairly high tech machine and the end product looks very slick. As far as I know, she would be very happy to do jackets/badges/whatever for grrr and would welcome the income I'm sure.
Denis can obviously post more on this, but as far as I know, the only factor would be giving her enough time to embroider 15-20 items in time for rage.
