Chopper training Sun 19th 8pm

Post by J_Th4ng »

Due to my complete ineptitude as a chopper pilot, I have been offered some training by Stu and Duiwel. I thought that it might be a good idea to open this up to anyone who's keen to learn chopper piloting basics.

We're going to do this on Sunday night (19th), starting at 8pm, on the grrr server. This shouldn't be a problem, as the Baggers are playing their match on an SGS server.

Ideally, we should have two students and two trainers running at the same time, so we can practice maneuvers against one another.

So, who's keen?

Students
* Drag
*
*

Traininers
* Stu
*
*

If this session works, we could look to do further sessions covering other BF3 skills.

PS. I am a reserve for the Baggers game on Sunday, so if there is a catastrophic failure and I need to play in the game, then I'll obviously have to pull out of this session.

Awesome - Very keen to assist, I may not be the hottest of our pilots i.e. fly/hubris/Dry but I have the basic principles and should be able to lay down a solid base for additional training.

Looking forward to it!

Thanks guys for your help and tips. I really enjoyed it and hopefully when I try fly on the open servers now, I won't like a complete idiot - just half a one :p

:p well you guys both picked up, you will find what flying style best suites you, and with the heat from the public servers you should pick up very quickly!

A shout out to J for picking it up so quickly! I'm sure you will really enjoy choppering...

Thanks guys, really appreciate the coaching. I still have a great deal to learn, but at least I now understand the mechanics of it, and can start practicing on public servers.

Big ups to Stu, Duiwel and Dryman for giving us your time.

And a special mention to Bruce for amazing ability to bail from the gunners seat within 5 seconds of engaging the enemy. The Italian blood is strong with this one...
