Disappointing result last night, we lost all four rounds. Starting Bazaar he had a couple drops and a terrible start, but after that he had all our guys and just couldn't seem to get an edge on them.

The flags rotated, we were able to attack and win, unfortunately we just couldn't hold our position of advantage and very often fell to having no flags. Is it strats, squad play, did we have a bad game or did they just outplay us?

No doubt Euphoria had a monster two matches, but the whole ATF team seemed to do well.

OK I am only going to discuss grand bazaar becaus that is the match we are playing

The Strats
===========
They were good, I know the first round we had some drops but even with that we captured their back flag. So the opening moves we keep. The problem is what do we do for the rest of the round. Personally I say we stick with the APC at our back flag and Hold B. What I would change is for Lee to join the Vanguad squad to ensure B stays captured. J0nny, Leppy and I can keep the APC up and take our their APC while defending the back flag.

BUT what happens if we are loosing B? I think timing is crucial, if the Vanguad Squad feels like they won't be able to hold B, then immediately the Armour needs to go to their back flag to Cap it. THe vanguad can then spawn at our back flag to move up to retake B while the armour hopefully caps their back flag and can help put pressure on B.

Ideally we would like to hold 2 flags and just defend them but that is only possible with B because defending their back flag will be impossible. We will be able to do it for a while but eventually they will break through.

General
===========
Everyone needs to be on Mumbe 1 hours before and we need to log onto the game server 20 minutes before to ensure there are no issues.
I don't think Hubris must be the only one making the call. I think the squad leaders need to make the calls and the rest of us shut up. We were all shouting orders but I think that is just becuase we didn't know what to do and there is no ways we can expect Hubris to tell everyone what to do and engage in a fire fight.

Sorry about last night guys.. The entire afternoon spent playing fine and then as soon as we join the SGS server, my BSODs' began.

I had issues a while ago with them and resolved them until last night. Seems like if my game crashes while loading (like what happened to a few of us last night) my PC gets incredibly unstable and will BSOD the next time I launch BF3.

Sorry the game was rough, but one thing I did learn was that we need to be on the server we will be playing on at least 30m before to resolve any joining issues. A practice game was fine, but if that happens in a league game, its going to blow.

Bazaar

Opening Strats worked well i thought. We got to B quick and capped it.
The problem came in once our apc went to their back flag, they came to ours. It allowed them to atack us easily from 2 directions, and so we couldn't hold B any more.
Our co-ordinated strikes on B worked well to re-gain the flag.

Metro
Our co=ordinated smoke strat didn't work at all.
Our defence on the next round was good for a large portion of the round, until we allowed them through the locker room.

Problems
Co-ordination of what we are doing needs lots of work.
Relying on team-mates to have your back is a huge problem.
So many times last night we got wiped out from behind, because everybody was watching one direction.
We cant have that.
Its a simple case of if one dude is watching north the next guy watches south.
When moving one gay takes right, other guy takes left, and so on.
We need to drill this.
I propose we have a 4 man squad move from one side of the map to the next, using this technique, while everyone else comes at them from all different directions.

Also were we sucked last night was in the chaos, and they thrived in it.
Sorry guys but the technique of getting a corner and then staying put and shooting does not work in clannies.
Everybody needs to be able to move attack and adapt quickly. If this is an area you are week in, then you need to get on the metro 64 players server when all the SG guys are playing and learn to improve it.

Smoke... if we gonna use smoke we need to use it right. That is use it on the enemy, not us. see their position, put smoke on them. Doing this will create the most confusion.

Practice guys. We need way way more practice.
I mean we had a good one on bazaar last week. But that's was barely scratching the surface of how wee need to practice that map.
Practices don't need to be formal planed ones.
if there are 4 grrr guys in a squad on a server. Call prac and start practising movement using the above mentioned technique.
Discuss a technique for taking a flag and holding it on the map you playing, and then practice doing that and so on.

In game voice coms. We need to improve it a lot, its getting better, but not fast enough. the naming of places was a good help.
If we implement a proper squad movement technique it will help too, as then where a guys is wont also have to be communicated.

But for now the first thing that needs to be banned, and TOTALY banned is all negative talk.
No complaining about how it was bullshit that shot.
No saying oh dear that crushing us.
No saying aaaah fuck shit.
We all guilty.
Positive comments only.
So you catch yourself saying aaaf fuck, stop and say "come on guys we can do it"

We need to be better guys, because i worry at this rate we are not even gonna make the 2nd division

Thanks guys, good feedback. I agree with it all. We have two practices between today and our first league match. I would everyone to make an effort to attend both and start earlier - 7PM. We ran out of time before and we really need those squad based firefights.

So practice on Tues and Wed and 7PM. Game on Thurs at 8PM, everyone on Grrr server at 7PM sharp. It's a big ask, but we really need it and I think I speak for all when I say the practices make a world of difference.

Let's tone up our skills, coordination and back up plans; last chance!

^This, we can only do this when playing together is second nature, there is no time to think so this needs to be instinct

We have a prac this tuesday and Wednesday with the game on Thursday. It is up Hubris but I would say we use 1 night to go of the strats again on Bazaar and come up with what we do after the initial strats. Then the next night we do what Tyger said and either squad up on a public server (a bit difficult) or go squad against squad on Metro (or another map) or even 3 vs 5 to really make it tough and concentrate on 1 flag

I think if we are going to practice tomorrow and wed we should only focus on bazaar. Pointless playing the squad on squad on a different map now.
It would also be better if we can get some resistance from the rest of GRRR, instead of going onto a public server.
Can we perhaps create a thread asking those who have time tomorrow and wed to help us out?

That being said I will be available tomorrow and wed, but tomorrow I may have to leave a bit earlier (21:00 - 21:30)

I've said this many times. But also... stuff the positive comments. They mean nothing to me while I'm trying to play except distract me. Usefull intel/decision type comments only.

And 7pm is not going to work Hurbis. Too many of us have kids that need to be put down, dinner at 7pm etc...

Understood will make do with what we have. 8PM then "officially", but if you are one of those who like cheesecake, it's served at 7PM. Hahaha... Ah that's just funny for me. Ok, lets go with the flow. I agree sometimes motivation stuff can be distracting, lets keep it professional and on tactics - if you are going to complain though, say something positive instead.
