Team Line-ups
Players per team: 8
Maximum Reserves per team: 4
Minimum Reservers per team: 2
Match Structure
Every league match consists of one map played over two rounds. At the end of the first round, the teams will switch sides and begin the second round.
To decide which map is played, teams will eliminate maps.
At the end of each round, the team manager will take a screenshot showing the remaining tickets and team line-ups. Once the match is completed the managers must post the score in their match thread.
The team with the largest number of combined tickets wins the match.
Player or Server Disconnects
If the server crashes, the round is replayed on a new server.
During warmup teams may not team kill one another.
If a player disconnects during a live round, gameplay will continue. It is the players responsibility to rejoin as soon as possible.
Official reserves may be brought in to replace a player who has disconnected. The team managers must take a screenshot of the new line-up to show the latest line-up changes.
Screenshots and Match Reports
Team managers must take a screenshot of the following:
1) The line-up at the start of round 1.
2) The score and line-up at the end of round 1.
3) The line-up at the start of round 2.
4) The score and line-up at the end of round 2.
5) The team leaders must ensure that battelog match reports are linked in the match thread before the end of the match week.
Servers
All matches must take place on the SGS Server on Demand servers using the DGL configuration.
In the event where the SGS servers are offline or fully booked, teams may use a third party's servers as long as the server is setup using the Do Gaming League defined Server Settings.
Server on Demand settings:
Configuration file: DGL2012
Server name: "DGL - Clan A vs Clan B"
Minimum duration of booking: 2 hours

Re: do Gaming BF3 rules and settings
Another thing to consider, because it is map elimination, we actually only need to know 3 or 4 maps really well, the rest we can eliminate
I am thinking
Metro
Sienne
Bazaar
Sharqi
Karkand
Will be the most popular, this will also help seeing as we don't have any really ace jet pilots

-Weapon bans or disallowed tactics:
The Tactical Flashlight (On Primary Gun), Shotgun FRAG rounds, and IRNV Scope are disallowed and will result in a forfeit loss of the round in which it was used.
Deploying mortars in the uncappable ares is disallowed and will result in a forfeit loss of the round in which it occured.
Example: You are in your spawn area (uncappable area) and deploying mortars outside of your spawn area.
"Riding the MAV" is not allowed and will result in a forfeited round. The use of the MAV itself is allowed in all ladders.
Maximum points will be awarded to the opposing team for that particular round, depending on the ladder. In order to prove a weapon was used, indisputable evidence must be provided and will be subject to the admin's discretion.
Attacking M-COMM from out of bounds (aka as Attackers Base/Uncap) is illegal. You MUST leave your uncap to attack the M-COMM. You as a team are responsible for capturing video of this. If you cannot provide us evidence, we will not even consider your dispute. Evidence must be video. Screenshots are not acceptable. In the event of this tactic being used, PLAY OUT THE MATCH and dispute afterwards. Do not stop playing. This rule will be enforced at the discretion of the admins.

Re: do Gaming BF3 rules and settings
OK guys, like them or not I am pretty sure these rules aren't going to change. I think the best we could hope for is for the MAV to be included. So I suggest when you play on the FFA servers keep these in mind.
I.e don't use the F2000 as you the gun you want to become good at, don't run around on metro with frag rounds and then wonder why you get own in a clannie on metro

Re: do Gaming BF3 rules and settings
Alright... my idea was to eliminate Metro, I think it's just one of those maps played into the ground giving rise to artificial skill. Every clan and his auntie know how to play this map and take it to the extreme. I just don't see this map playing to our strength (experience). But hey, if we have some good debate for it I'll reconsider.
Generally, I think we have the advantage on Karkand maps because the Assault Conquest game mode pretty much defines our play style (sometimes impatient!). I also don't think many teams have really prepared for them so it could give us an advantage - or end up being excluded right away which would suck bone.
I think we need to play Damavand and Tehran against good opposition and choose one. That would leave us with Karkand, Sharqi, Bazaar, Seine and one more BF3. Any thoughts? I know Bazaar has been a toughie for us, but I just have this feeling it will turn out to be a great map for us (like Seine).

Re: do Gaming BF3 rules and settings
I agree, unless we are playing a team that we absolutely no will pose no threat, we avoid metro. It is one of those maps that can go so right or so wrong depending on how you start.
I think lets get the maps in preference so you know which ones to eliminate first. Obvious choice would be to eliminate maps with jets. Heli's I think we have a good chopper team so we can handle maps with a heli on it.
The final map list hasn't been made available though, it say the version of the game is B2K but the maps don't appear
