Band of Brothers

Post by baselineac »

pure boredom drove me to actually start looking through all my external drives, also knowing that i need to start making space for rage this year, so after deleting alot of stuffs i come across a folder named Band of Brothers in a GAMES folder ......i look inside and see a bunch of episodes...?!?
HMMMMM it looks like army stuffs...wwII ...now at this point i do need to say, i DO like WWII stories, and as we all know there are many a movie or series made pertaining to this subject, stuffs like
the pacific
saving ryan
enemy at the gates etc etc
i start watching the first episode, and within 5minutes, i cant take my eyes off the screen
to the effect that 705minutes later, i have tears running down my cheeks(not because of being tired/a sissy/frustrated) but by the sheer brilliance the story of easy company was told.(a bit one sided, but then again that is usually the american way)
this is the best mini series i have EVER seen
bearing in mind this mini series was released in 2001, it was followed up in 2010 by the pacific, which was also brilliant
both these series are interestingly enough produced by tom hanks and steven spielberg
if you havent seen it , you should

Yip I saw them, well I saw these "abridged" versions where they show only about 20 of each episode, just the important stuff.

Would love to get these on High Def, Go Captain Winters Go!!

Agreed, absolutely brilliant!! My dad sent Dirk a Special edition box set of the movie a few years back.

I actually saw it when it came out in the US on TV. Every Friday a 1-hr episode was aired. It was torture waiting till the following Friday!!
