No Problems downloading and installing, no problems creating an account...however the client refuses to use the account created....I can login to the website and to the support forums and everything LOTRO related with the account, just NOT the client (the game itself). Quite sad.

NOW HERE IS A POLISHED GAME ! ! ! !

It beats Runes of Magic hands down for presentation and usability..... VERY Impressed, plus it's VERY low bandwidth usage (8Mb combined up/down for the hours test)

Okay, I've downloaded the LOTRO game client for anyone in CPT that wants it. You'll just have to make a plan to collect. Bring an external drive with you, because the game files are about 10GB.

Note that after the game was installed, there were a fair amount of updates that needed to happen before it was ready to launch, so there probably will be a bit of BW cost for anyone installing from the install set.

Ion, what world are you playing on? There are a list that I can join to, obviously we need to ensure that we all join the same one.

The worlds I can see are:

I assume that we are sticking with one of the [EN] worlds (my German and French are not particularly good). I also assume that 'RP' indicates 'Roleplay', for the serious geeks... (personally I'm not THAT serious!!)
