    Benchmarks

Hi guys, I have just built myself a new super-rig and wanted to find out from you what is the benchmarks you normally run. The aim of the built was not super high benchmarks but rather a very well balanced, and fast, computer. So the benchmarks I am looking for should not just be focused on graphics, but also CPU intensive tasks, hard drive tasks, and prefably overall system performance.

I obviously have quite a comprehensive list and will be using all the common ones in any event, but will appreciate any other suggestions you may have.

    This is the components:
    MOBO: Gigabyte X79s-UP5 Wifi Workstation
    RAM: Corsair CMZ16GX3M4a1600C9 (4x4GB)
    PSU: Corsair 1000HX
    CPU: Xeon e5-2670
    CPU Cooler: Corsair H80i
GPU: Asus GTX580, DirectCU II edition
    SSD: 6 x OCZ Vertex 3, 60GB, RAID 0
    HDD: 8 x 15,000RPM Savio 147GB, RAID 5
    RAID Controller: Adaptec 7805
    RAID Controller2: Highpoint RocketRAID 2720SGL
    System fans: 6 x Coolermaster 120mm fans
System fan controller: Zalman ZM-MFC1 plus
    Optical Drive: LG DVD re-writer
    Headset: Corsair H1
    KB: Logitech G19
    Mouse: Logitech G500s
    Mouse pad: Roccat Taito
    Monitor Samsung T260
    Case: Custom build mahogany case

But I am thinking to remove the SAS drives given the noise they make.

I found a tool that gives a Quick overview of all temps and hardware, it's basic but great little informative tool as it's a broad scope:
    Speccy - http://www.piriform.com/speccy
I've only been wrong once, and that's when I thought I was wrong.

Thanks Lee, added AIDA to my repertoire, I've used that program years ago, glad to see they are still in operation.

Perhaps you may know, what is a nice tool that can measure latency for a local LAN? Never mind, found one that measures pings in microseconds:
    www.cfos.de/en/ping/ping.htm

Now to find one that measures network bandwidth on a LAN?
