jonno's suggestion with the 2 man squads iza best i've heard - was my initial thought during the beatah vershun too
We tried out the 4man squad last nart and it falls flat on it's face very quickly during attack.
My idea's for the 2 man squads is like this:
On Attack
2 X 2 Man ADVANCE squads one set consisting of a recon and medic, the other with recon and assault.
2 X 2 Man FLANKER squads each with a medic and Assault
Obviously we'll adapt and those kit roll outs could include some Engineers at some stage, but on attack it's V.Importentê to hold our tickets by reviving and keeping the Recons supplied for motion sensor deployment.
Our ADVANCE squads move in 1st and send out Motion Sensors, the FLANKERS can squad swop for better deployment, then swop back - their role will always be to try covertly move around the enemy, making every attempt to avoid being spotted and listening for motion sensors and enemies. Once in a good position at least one of the FLANKER squads will need to try hold their ground in a sneaky place so that ADVANCE or the other FLANKER squad can spawn on them. The other FLANKER can then either deploy and destroy or draw enemies out for ADVANCE so that they can deploy and destroy. This is going to be seriously different, but we'll work on it and get it to a fine art.
ANY squad that can steal enemy vehicles MUST do so, or at least leave it full of C4 to crush the enemy should they take it.
Anyway, we'll talk about it more in the coming days, for now we need to get out team cohesion working.
We need one man to be Commander, not in the BF2 sense obviously, just someone who can read and call the game since they think the clearest on the battlefield.
I'm thinking Mega is the best man for this job, but we can leave it up to nomination if you like.
If it is Mega, then it's YOUR task to follow his orders without question.
So if he says we need to make a move on A, then thats what we do, no moving around and pussy footing looking for more people to kill - move yer ass and follow his orders.
Although I may be the so called Captain, I know my play style, I'm a grunt,I engage and am more likely to be pre-ocupied in combat than to think about what we all should be doing overall.
Having said that, in attack the idea is to avoid enemy contact as much as possible, a downed enemy is a huge highlight on the minimap for enemy medics that alert them to our location, so we definately need to avoid combat as much as possible.
anyways - scratching away trying to think of good ways to do this....more to come
