Yup its so easy to say oh ya we're going to squad up and then 2min into the fight everyone is heading different directions. Pick an objective, mark the targets and stick together as a squad. Keep your eyes on your mates and make sure that no one person is over committing. The key really is to play aggressive defence as a squad, get your picks and swamp the stubborn guys with nades and bodies.
Look for unguarded flanks etc and call that you're taking ownership of them. When you absolutely have to commit, you should try call that as well and if everyones paying attention, your mates will be right on your tail. We found literally between a 1-2sec gap after your first rusher is perfect for catching guys who have been baited or in the reload. Don't follow directly behind the guy on the same path, use a slightly different path to avoid spray.
If you're first through the choke point, take the most immediate threat out, dance around like a mad man and soak up that attention. That will give the guy after you a better chance of hosing who's left and getting a revive on you.
To be fair, we got lucky a few times and we got quick spawns into unexpected locations which that gave us the edge to cap flags easily. Tyger's squad were doing well in terms of laying suppressive (entertaining) fire and then moving up. Unfortunately that meant they were also more spread out and when it came time to rush, the extra paddle wasn't there to keep it going. All in all it was an epic battle, I really enjoyed it and I think it goes a long way to improving our cohesion and skill.
Last thing I found really effective when guarding a line of sight on Bazaar was to pie two pieces of cover together so that literally I'm totally in cover except for a pixel wide sliver in the area I expect the guys to come into. Remember prefiring is as much about suppression as it is about sneaking a bullet or three through the edges of cover and getting that crucial extra dmg. If the guys rush, you just pull further back into cover and sliver them again. Really effective against a lone rusher or two.
Nothing new and all pretty obvious, the trick is actually to practice the theory and discipline. Play the patience safe game and let the enemy make mistakes. If they're stubborn, well thats why you have friends. Its very hard to hose 1, 2 and then a 3rd guy if they hit you one after the other within the space of like 3 or 5 seconds. Unless of course you have the Rex to back you up, it just turns you into a close quarters DESPERADO GOD!
