Paul loaded the Baggers team onto the DoGaming League site and I entered the team, so we are go. I see you can have 2/3 reserves and a few other teams have up to 5. If we can find more players it would be great for depth!
You can check the teams entered here:
http://www.dogamingleague.co.za/stage.php?id=291 The teams entered so far are (sure to be more soon, registration closes on the 30th of Jan):
Synergy Gaming (sG)
Advanced Special Forces (ASF)
Assualt Ready Σnforced Squad (ARΣS)
Rebels From Hell (RFH Black Legion)
GRRR Squad (a. Baggers)
GRRR Squad (b. Nutz)
|TCF| The Chosen Few (a. Raptors)
|TCF| The Chosen Few (b. Falcons)
Black Gravity (BG)
Battlefield Community (|BFC| Savages)
If you have any thoughts on the above and for the preparation for DGL, please post here and let's get some discussion going.

Well if we could get some mercs I would load them onto the Nutz team and then "promote" some nutz to the baggers. I don't know if it would be fair, to get Mercs to play for the grrr "first" team while real members are in the Nutz
Obviously for prep I would say practise. I know it is still holiday time so maybe we can start organising a match either internal or external for mid Jan. We need at least two games I think before the league

Alright we have two clans who are keen for a game in January: SSG and DC (Damage Control). I'll chat to them and disidntaggressor and see if we can line up a game with RFH soon as well.
As soon as we're in the new year, lets get practicing. I'm thinking around the 4th or 9th of Jan, we may not have everyone but it gives us time to work on a few things. A special skills practice would be cool me thinks...

Coolio! A prac doesn't always have to be a match. It can be testing new theories out or learning new tricks. We don’t know which maps we will be playing exactly but a good thing to “prac” (know) are the cap zones for all the flags as well as spawn points so that we know where to cap from and where to cover

Yar on BC2 we just all loaded onto an unranked server and held some mock firefights to check a few things out and improve our game in firefights. I think it helped and we can do something similar with BF3. We're all starting to get to know the maps and the guns so I'm keen to get into nitty gritty netcode and squadplay hax.
By sharing ideas on force multiplication and buddy-tactics, I reckon we can consistently generate and survive the overwhelming force that the likes of sG and ASF put down. They always fight on a sea of boxes and every attack is a combination of (in relation to resistance) nades, suppressive fire, tubes, flanking and rockets.
I notice the shotguns are really dominating the 64 player Metro and Grand Bazaar servers, so we still need to get ourselves squared away in terms of those and how to use them best. My thought was to use the Support class more creatively to field frag and other shottie goodness.
Also we need to find a good rifle for the Support class and get everyone up to speed on the tubes and smoke tactics (I think the VAL is great for a silenced Support class rifle option). Do we still want to keep the MAV and are we happy with the Recon boych taking tank gunner / security player)? Any thoughts on the tank crew / perks?

Too be honest I haven't tried the shotguns, I toyed with the DAO because I loved it in BF2 but nothing impressed me. That was before the patch though.
I am working on unlocking all the guns and their unlocks so that I can choose and practise with any gun on the FFA servers.
One thing that is important is to squad up and play on the FFA servers as if we are in a clannie, 1 nights prac a week for 1 or 2 hours won't cut it.

Well Phatso and I went up against a guy defending with a USAS/Frag and just couldn't break through even after like 10 deaths. It's insane how it can just dominate a doorway/room on Bazaar. I've also seen a couple guys using it well on the corridor/escalators on Metro.
There is even some really destructive sniping on Metro to be had. If we can get smoke right I think it will be a great asset. I'm still undecided on the IFV perks, the belt speed and ATGM launcher (first one) seems the best combo which is just counter intuitive for vehicle combat.
